Crio Brü Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Crio Brü
Crio Brü is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 20 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews expressing serious dissatisfaction. The primary complaints center on billing problems (including unexpected double charges and difficulty obtaining refunds), product mismatches between what is shown on the website and what arrives, misleading product descriptions and labeling claims (particularly regarding organic certification), and unresponsive customer service that fails to resolve these issues. A few reviewers note that individual flavors like Double Chocolate are acceptable in quality, but this positive sentiment is vastly outweighed by systemic problems with ordering accuracy, website functionality, and customer support.
Shoppers consistently report feeling misled by product photography and ingredient descriptions, receiving items different from what they ordered or expected based on the website listings. The billing issues appear particularly frustrating, with customers reporting unauthorized duplicate charges and difficulty getting help. While the actual taste and quality of some products receives occasional praise, the cumulative experience of ordering, receiving wrong items, and struggling with customer service has led to overwhelmingly negative reviews. No shoppers in the recent reviews recommend the company.

Sorted by: Most recentThe actual product is really good, especially since someone gave it to me as a gift (though it showed up pretty late). Here's the problem though: I wanted to make my first purchase on early June. Their website displayed two different sampler packages with multiple 4 ounce containers plus some smaller sample portions at what looked like a fair price. Then I got to the checkout screen and the total was literally three times what I expected. No thanks, I'll pass on ordering from Crio Bru.
Update: turned out it wasn't a scam after all, I finally got my package. Just incredibly slow. Placed an order two weeks out and they sent a tracking number that showed they hadn't actually shipped anything. When I emailed asking if it was on the way, they replied with the exact same tracking link showing it still hadn't shipped. To be honest, just avoid ordering straight from their website if you can.
Been purchasing Crio Bru for several years and I actually enjoy the product. I figured I should have accumulated enough rewards points by now to redeem something free, but I couldn't figure out where to do that on the website. I contacted customer service and they informed me that point redemption only works on a desktop or laptop computer, not on phones or tablets. That's pretty limiting and frustrating.
First time ordering from them and I got the starter kit plus some extra stuff. Their site said most packages ship in three to four days, but a month went by with nothing. I never got any updates on where my order was, even though they had no problem flooding my inbox with marketing emails. I finally emailed asking for a refund and they processed it within 24 hours, which I appreciate. Still, the complete radio silence throughout the whole process was disappointing.
Placed an order directly on the website in mid-October. Usually my orders show up in about three to four days since I've been buying from them for a year. On the next day I got a tracking notice saying my shipment was being prepared in New Jersey. This is weird because the company operates out of California and I've never gotten an order from the East Coast. I emailed asking if something had changed or why it was coming from New Jersey, but never got an answer to that question, just a new tracking number showing the package was now in Pennsylvania. By late October the USPS tracking indicated delivery would be that day. Nine days is a huge difference from my usual experience. I'm frustrated that they never explained why the shipment route changed or why it's taking so much longer now. If the company switched to slower shipping, they should tell customers upfront so we can plan accordingly. I had to order a smaller amount from Amazon with Prime because I needed it faster.
Even the best product in existence means nothing if your customer service is terrible, and this company proves it. I drank their stuff every morning mixed with my mate, but I'm done with them now. Bad service makes bad products, and I won't support that. Plus their customer service reps are lying to customers. I paid fifty bucks for product that either didn't arrive or got lost somewhere, and I'm not okay with that. They've completely lost my loyalty, and honestly they deserve all the negative reviews they're getting.
The product itself is great, but the customer service is terrible. All you get from support are canned responses. Their phone numbers don't actually work. Just buy from Amazon if you want actual customer support.
The brewed drink is really weak. I prepared it exactly right and it came out tasting like watered down chocolate. If I'd tried brewing it longer in the moka pot to make it stronger, it would've burned the cacao. The moka pot itself smelled fishy and didn't even use all the water from the bottom chamber. On top of that, I never got a delivery confirmation so the package just sat outside overnight. I won't be ordering from them again. Regular coffee is way better and actually worth your money.
I placed an order well before the holidays expecting possible delays. Got an email saying they were getting it ready to ship on the 19th, but by the 28th it still hadn't gone out. When I emailed asking what was up, they told me one of the flavors in my combo pack was out of stock and that's why everything was held up. They wouldn't let me cancel. What really got me is that they never informed me about the shortage when it happened, so I had zero opportunity to swap it out for something else.
I bought the starter package without reading the fine print about returns. It came with a French Press, and I didn't realize there's basically a no-return policy unless something's actually broken or unused. The logic here doesn't make sense because how would you know if you like something without trying it? Once I got the order and researched cacao more, I wanted to send it back, but found out I was stuck with it. Buyer beware if you're thinking about ordering.
