Daedalus Books and Music Reviews

My brother-in-law bought an electronic gift card that was supposed to arrive by email within 2 days. He never got it, and it looks like Daedalus Books just took his money and ran. Their customer service people are overseas and completely unhelpful, and the main office out in Ohio isn't any better. I actually liked shopping there before and never had any issues ordering books over the last few years. But the second something goes wrong, they don't seem to care at all about fixing it.

UPDATE: The items that were missing eventually showed up today, which was a total surprise since the company never reached out to let me know anything. The packaging was pretty rough, honestly, with one side of the box basically gone and held together by multiple layers of clear tape. I was worried the books would get damaged in transit, but thankfully they made it through fine. Overall though, this whole situation was way too much of a headache. I'm not going to order from them again. ORIGINAL POST: I decided to give this place another shot, thinking maybe they'd straightened things out, but that didn't happen. I ordered on DEC 21st and got my package about a week later, except only half my stuff was inside. The rest of the box had someone else's order mixed in. When I called them about it, they said they'd ship out my missing items and gave me a new order number. I never got any confirmation emails for that new order. Over the next few days I called back multiple times and got a completely different answer each time I spoke with someone. I'm not even going to get into all the details because it'll just make me mad all over again. Bottom line is they just tell you whatever they feel like. This company used to be really reliable. I used to order dozens of books from them regularly, way back since the 1990s. Honestly, it seems like they've really gone downhill.
