Wanted to return them within their advertised 90 day window but they refused because I'd used one of them. Plus they wanted me to pay for return shipping. To top it all off, when I was calmly explaining my concerns to a rep, they kept interrupting me in a rude and loud manner.
Purchased spa towels that are definitely thick and plush, but they won't actually dry you off. They just move water around on your skin instead of absorbing it. Paid over $100 for two towels so quality should be there. Due to their strict return policy I can't send them back. Really not worth the price for a non functional towel.
Really frustrated with their policy. I was planning to buy some nice outdoor furniture during their summer clearance event which advertised free shipping. They'd sent me a birthday promotion for $50 off, but apparently I couldn't use it with the free shipping offer. Why send out discount codes if you won't honor them when sales are happening? That makes no sense.
Made the mistake of buying towels from them. The towels were just okay but the email spam afterward was relentless. No matter how many times I unsubscribed nothing worked, and even the unsubscribe process was annoying instead of just one click. I got hammered with "sale ends today" emails constantly except the sale apparently never actually ends. I emailed to complain and that was also unnecessarily difficult. They obviously do this on purpose to keep email addresses active for their financial reports while irritating customers like me. It's frustrating to deal with a company that operates this way.
Purchased pool floats, noodles, and a storage stand all from this company. When the items arrived, the floats and noodles were permanently glued to the stand. I spent time trying to separate them and actually tore the plastic material on one float, ripping open the foam inside. Really disappointed. I have video evidence of what happened but they won't answer their phones to resolve it. I'm done with this company.
Amazing customer service experience. I bought a large teak outdoor dining set with 10 chairs about a year ago, then picked up 2 additional chairs as extras just in case. When I recently pulled out those backup chairs to oil them along with the main set, I noticed one had a structural issue underneath. Called the company and they shipped a replacement immediately, no questions asked even though it had been a full year. Really impressed with how they handled that. This is the kind of company that actually stands behind their products.
They shared my address with outside marketing companies just because I ordered fabric swatches. I use the company name in my mailing address to track who sells my information and sure enough, furniture catalogs from random companies I've never heard of started arriving addressed with Frontgate in the name. These aren't even from them. I'm upset about this invasion of privacy. Anyone ordering those swatches should know they'll get bombarded with junk mail afterward. On top of that, they said one color was backordered but two were ready to ship. After I gave my address, turns out all three colors weren't available for months for an actual cushion purchase. They never mentioned that delay upfront. Feels like they got my information just to sell it to other companies since that seems to be their real business model.
Don't buy their lighted Christmas decorations if you expect them to work for more than a couple years. We've been regular customers for over a decade but we're done. Back in 2019 we invested a fortune in their prelit collection including a 7.5 foot tree, 11 extra long garlands, 2 trees in planters, a wreath, and tons of ornaments. One garland failed within days but we thought it was a fluke. By 2023, my situation is ridiculous. The tree still works but out of 9 garland strands only 2 have working lights, my wreath stopped lighting last year, and most of the other decorations are pretty much dark. You can replace individual light strands which costs hundreds, or accept dim holidays. Even on sale, spending $200 on an unlit garland and wreath set is expensive. This is poor quality for the price point.
Been ordering for over ten years and continue to be pleased. The items are well made, arrive promptly, and their support team steps up when needed.
