What Shoppers Say About gamousa.com
Gamousa.com sells air guns and ammunition, but shoppers report serious concerns about customer service and product quality. Reviewers consistently cite unresponsive support staff, false information about product availability and return policies, unauthorized credit card charges, and extremely delayed replacements under warranty. One customer reported waiting over 30 days for promised replacement parts with no follow-up, while another described being given repeatedly false timelines for restocking and rude treatment by staff.
On the positive side, a few shoppers praise the air guns themselves, particularly the multishot magazine feature described as innovative. However, quality control issues have emerged, with one reviewer noting that approximately one-third of a recent ammunition batch arrived with severely dented pellets that were unusable. The recurring theme across negative reviews is a disconnect between the company's stated policies and actual practices, leaving shoppers frustrated and unwilling to return.

Sorted by: Most recentYour .177 Rocket 9.26 ammo has been solid for me up until this latest batch. Unfortunately, about a third of what I got is worthless. The pellets are severely dented on the ends and won't work at all.
These air guns are fantastic. The multishot magazine feature is really innovative and makes a huge difference. The only downside is that my preferred model constantly goes out of stock right when I'm ready to purchase.
They ignored their own return policy, gave me multiple false statements, and then someone used my credit card without permission. I tried canceling right after placing my order but discovered the cancel feature wasn't available. Had to reach out by email and heard nothing for almost a week. I called several times to finally connect with someone who said they'd email a prepaid return label once I received the package. That never happened. They lied multiple times and never sent the label I was promised. Then it got worse. The day after I paid them with my card for a CO2 pellet gun, my bank called about fraudulent charges. My card hadn't been used in months until that purchase.
Ordered an air rifle and ammunition on the evening of December 9th, only to realize a family member had already purchased the same item. I attempted to cancel before delivery, but was told it wasn't possible. They promptly sent a return shipping label. The package arrived unopened at their facility on December 17th after I placed it with the FedEx driver that same day. Over the course of a month, I've called three separate times following promises of a refund. Still nothing. Today's call was filled with excuse after excuse. The representative actually started yelling at me during our conversation. When I told her that wasn't appropriate, she refused to listen. I asked how she'd feel waiting this long without her money while being treated disrespectfully. When I requested her name, she disconnected the call. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had.
Repeated false information, incredibly unprofessional staff. Been trying to get a replacement magazine covered under warranty. First they claimed my rifle was discontinued after less than a year of ownership. This latest call was no better than before, different person same dishonest answers. They promised to ship parts over thirty days ago and nothing arrived. Now they're saying the magazine is hard to locate since the rifle is discontinued. I'm out over $700 with zero resolution.
Reached out about an out of stock item, the Gamo Swarm Magnum Pro. First they told me mid-September, then pushed it back to mid-October. The real problem was their customer service person Amanda who was incredibly rude. I really wanted that Magnum Pro, but after how they treated me, I won't be ordering from them again.
Own an older Gamo Whisper rifle that used to shoot great but has deteriorated significantly. I'm pretty sure I just need new seals and springs. Problem is I don't know my exact model since there are tons of Whisper variants out there, and that would determine which parts to order from their site. Even though I gave them my serial number, their support team couldn't identify the model. Their only option was having me ship the rifle to them for repair, which costs way more than replacing those seals myself. They also wouldn't provide a manual for my rifle. At this point buying a different air gun brand makes more sense since I'd actually be able to find a manual, get parts, and get decent support.
Shipping takes forever and it's expensive too. Lucky I caught the Memorial Day discount on the GR .25 magnum, because at nearly $300 the build quality is disappointing for the price. I also grabbed the .22 caliber model. I emailed them about their slow shipping times and got back a response saying they do their best but things are hectic during busy seasons. Yeah right. Pretty sure that's what they tell everyone no matter what time of year it is.
Made a couple of orders with them and honestly their team was fantastic. Had trouble with a few things and they just replaced everything no questions asked. After I sent pics and my order details over, they made sure everything was legit before helping me out, which is totally reasonable. Would definitely suggest them and what they sell. Really solid company, A+ for sure.
