What Shoppers Say About Icebarrel.com
Icebarrel.com has received uniformly negative feedback from shoppers, with a 1.0 out of 5 rating based on 6 reviews. Customers report serious quality and durability issues across multiple product lines, including flow problems, air getting stuck in lines, damaged connectors, and leaking units caused by low-quality materials. Beyond product defects, shoppers consistently cite unresponsive and unhelpful customer service, with complaints of unanswered emails, ignored phone calls, and support staff that refuse warranty claims or provide only video tutorials instead of actual repairs. One customer reported waiting a week for any response and eventually gave up.
The overwhelming consensus among reviewers is that Icebarrel.com does not stand behind its products, especially after the initial warranty period. Shoppers describe the company as cutting corners with cheap parts, being dismissive when issues arise, and offering inadequate customer support across multiple contact channels. Additional complaints include long shipping delays with no communication updates and the company releasing improved versions shortly after customers purchase original models, leaving buyers concerned about future reliability. Reviewers explicitly warn others against purchasing from this company.

Sorted by: Most recentBought the Ice Barrel 500 complete with chiller and maintenance supplies in 2024 for over four thousand dollars. During the warranty period I kept reporting the same problems like flow issues, air getting stuck in lines, and damaged connectors. Customer service only sent me some videos to watch but never actually looked at the unit or fixed anything. Once my warranty ended, those exact issues came back. They told me the thing can't be repaired and to throw it out, without even examining it. Since the company got bought by another firm, I've tried calling both of them and neither one has gotten back to me or offered to help. Other people online are saying the exact same thing happened to them. For the price you pay, this product falls apart fast and you're on your own when it does.
These guys cut corners with cheap parts and won't back up what they sell. My barrel 300 started leaking because of low quality materials, and when I reached out they immediately refused to help since I was just past the one year mark. From how quick they denied my claim, it's obvious they get tons of calls about leaking units. Then they had the nerve to just try selling me a different one instead.
Tried reaching out to these guys multiple times but they never answer. Spent a week shooting them emails, using their contact form, and even chatting with their chatbot thing. It just keeps saying they're really busy and someone will help soon. After seven days of trying everything, I gave up.
Skip this company, seriously. Looking at their reviews shows plenty of unhappy people, and you can tell something's wrong before you even buy. They lost me as a customer and I'm not telling anyone to go there either. Plus their support team was incredibly rude when I tried talking to them.
Got the regular ice barrel and it wasn't cold enough for where I live down south. Had it sitting on my porch and just a couple months later they announce an insulated version made for hot areas. Now I'm worried about ordering their new model and being stuck with something that doesn't work either. I ended up selling mine online but it took forever to get even some of my cash back. Would've been great if they let me return it or do a trade-in. If anyone from the company reads this, I'd really like a shot at that newer insulated model and actually have the option to send it back if it doesn't keep things cold enough.
