Called three separate times and each time was promised a return label and refund. Now it's June and nothing has happened. This is completely unacceptable and I'm never buying from them again.
The checkout process is a nightmare with too many pages to get through, and when you finally reach the shipping options screen it just shows black. Tried using different web browsers and operating systems with no luck. This company's website is totally broken, which honestly might be a blessing since their reviews suggest customers who actually complete orders end up in a world of trouble.
Got my puppy vaccine without any problems and it arrived right on schedule. The pricing is unbeatable.
I bought cattle vaccines at the end of January and paid extra for overnight delivery plus a styrofoam cooler and an ice pack. The package showed up three days after shipping and my vaccines were at room temperature. When I called to complain, they said as long as they weren't warm it's fine and promised to refund the overnight charge. That refund never happened. My veterinarian told me the vaccines were ruined since they need to stay cold until use. Total waste of money and won't be ordering there again.
Made a purchase back in August. They put it on backorder without even asking me, then shipped it over a year later in December and charged my card way after the fact. I never approved them charging me that long after ordering. They refuse to send a prepaid label to return it. Absolutely terrible customer service.
They advertise free shipping but it's completely misleading. I saw their big claim about free shipping on orders over 49 dollars and placed an order that qualified. When I got to the final payment screen through my payment processor, the total was way higher than expected. I stopped and called. They said I had to pay extra for shipping. I reminded them they said free shipping everywhere on their site. Their response was that they don't charge for shipping but they have to pass the carrier's charges on to me. That's not what free shipping means. They hide the extra fees until the very last moment before you confirm payment, and you can't even see them clearly. That's deceptive marketing. The carrier doesn't insert charges into transactions, the company does. Customers shouldn't need to read the fine print to see if you're actually delivering on what you promise. Free shipping should actually be free.

Want to know if Jeffers is reliable? After thirteen years as a customer, I can tell you they literally cannot ship orders on time, to the correct address, or with any real communication. This is my last order ever from them. If you need livestock or pet supplies, go with a more trustworthy outfit like Valley Vet or PBS Animal Health. I placed my final order at the end of April for some vaccines I really needed. The site said shipping might take until November but that my card wouldn't be charged until items were shipped. It was the only place showing stock at the time, so I ordered. Mid May I checked my payment account and saw they charged me, but nothing had shipped yet. My order showed as being handled but hadn't gone out, and it was past the due date by ten days. No shipping updates, no notifications, nothing. Disputed the charges because the product never showed up.
What a hassle. They approved my payment a few days back. Now out of nowhere they're saying I need to call them before they'll ship anything. Forget that, I went ahead and bought the same thing from another pet retailer instead.
Placed an order for a horse vaccine back in mid June and they promised same day shipping if I ordered before 3 PM. It's been five days and they just shipped it today. Customer service told me it won't get here for four more days, which puts the total at nine days from order to delivery. A vaccine sitting warm for that long won't be any good, even with an ice pack. I'm shopping elsewhere and really hope I see that refund.
