What Shoppers Say About La Madeleine French Bakery and Cafe
La Madeleine shoppers are divided in their experiences. Positive reviewers praise the food quality, particularly items like eclairs, and appreciate the rewards program accessible through the mobile app. The Plano location near Park and Preston receives specific mention as consistently reliable.
However, recurring complaints center on order accuracy and execution issues, particularly at the Beltline and Montfort location, where customers report staff mistakes that result in incorrect charges. Several reviewers also express concern about declining food quality and portion sizes relative to rising prices, with some attributing these changes to recent management shifts that have diminished what previously made the restaurant special.

Sorted by: Most recentThe Plano spot near Park and Preston is where we always go when we want lunch, and they never let us down. Download their app to earn points toward rewards and free items. My first reward was a delicious eclair and it got me hooked.
The staff here keeps messing up orders, which ends up costing customers money. This has happened multiple times at the Beltline and Montfort location. There's no attention to detail when it comes to making sure everything in the order is correct, and then when the customer rightfully complains about being charged for food they never got, the workers act annoyed. The management team is too inexperienced to handle responsibility properly. They seem to just pass information back and forth between corporate and customers instead of actually managing anything.
I was once a loyal customer at La Madeleine, but the management changes have really let me down and broken my confidence in the place. Everything that made it special has gotten worse - the quality of the food, the variety of options, and how much you actually get on your plate have all gone downhill, yet somehow prices keep climbing higher. There was this amazing Tuscan paella entree I used to order that came on a big plate loaded with great stuff, enough that two people could share it, but they took that off the menu along with several other dinner options. Now their standard entrees give you a tiny piece of meat sitting next to a small serving of veggies. The rewards program isn't even worth talking about anymore. They used to have an app that actually worked where you could see all your purchases and track your rewards points by just scanning it at checkout each time, but about a year back they ditched it for some terrible website replacement that barely functions. You're not automatically logged in like the app was, so you have to wait for an email with a link, and even then the thing just loops around and around without getting you anywhere. Really disappointing.
