What Shoppers Say About Moleskine
Moleskine is receiving overwhelmingly negative feedback, with shoppers reporting severe issues across customer service, order fulfillment, and website functionality. The most common complaints involve non-responsive support teams, unexplained shipping delays stretching weeks beyond promised timelines, and difficulties navigating the website during checkout. Several reviewers describe feeling ignored after contacting the company through multiple channels and receiving no response or unhelpful replies.
Additional frustrations include unexpected product substitutions that resulted in overcharges, recent format changes to popular planners that reduced usability (particularly weekend layouts), and defective products that were not promptly replaced. Long-time customers express disappointment that the brand appears to have lost sight of customer satisfaction, with some stating they plan to discontinue purchasing altogether due to these experiences.

Sorted by: Most recentI'm upset they changed the format of their 2026 pocket weekly planner. Saturday and Sunday now share the same line, so the weekend days are crammed together. I don't have enough room to write down my weekend activities. Why would they do this? I loved how my 2025 planner was laid out.
I'd give them zero stars if I could. I ordered a 2026 planner on December 30th and after two weeks I still haven't gotten any update. The order confirmation said it would ship in two days, which was clearly a lie. I used their Contact Us form twice, on January 3rd and again on January 8th, but never heard back. I even messaged them on Instagram out of desperation. They actually replied within six hours asking for my info, so I sent everything right away. Then absolutely nothing again. This lack of communication is completely unacceptable and I won't be ordering from them anymore. I thought buying straight from their website would be fine since they seemed legitimate, but clearly I should have looked elsewhere first. I literally haven't gotten any customer service, because you need them to actually respond for that to happen. At the rate they're going, I'll get my 2026 planner sometime in 2027.
I've been buying their yearly notebooks as gifts for years, usually around late fall. This past November I tried to reorder the same item from their website but had trouble finding it. I ended up picking what seemed right and was charged $57 instead of the $37 I normally pay. When it showed up, it was much heavier and nothing like what I'd been happy with before. Since I couldn't call, I emailed back and forth with them for several days. They seemed completely uninterested in helping and insisted they'd sent the correct product, claiming it was identical to what I'd ordered a year ago. I decided to try a different brand and found an American-made option at a local bookstore with better customer support, contact info included, and a lower price. I'm done with this brand and their products. Check out alternatives at your local shop instead.
I ordered the Smart Pen and got a unit with a serious problem: it shuts down the moment I unplug it from the USB cable and won't turn back on by itself. It's basically unusable. I sent them videos clearly showing the defect, but instead of fixing it, I got stuck in an endless email chain over 30 messages long. They kept asking me to run tests that don't even make sense since the device won't stay powered on. They never acknowledged the clear defect or sent it up to warranty or quality control. Just asked the same things over and over. As someone who's used their products for years both at work and personally, this was really disappointing. A company like theirs shouldn't handle a clear hardware failure this way. I can't recommend the Smart Pen to anyone.
Yet another let down from a company that clearly doesn't care what their customers think. I bought a pen online in August and it still hasn't shown up. The support team won't respond to any of my messages. Because of this experience, I'm not going to visit their physical stores anymore either.
I used to love this brand and was a loyal customer. I tried multiple browsers on my Mac to buy a notebook from their site, but nothing worked. I really think they need to talk to their IT team because this is unacceptable. The issue happens when I'm trying to save my address information. I can't move past that step even though all the fields show they're filled in correctly. Their web contact form also had errors. I finally got a response but they said they don't take debit cards. How is that even possible? I even went to a bookstore that told me they only sell online now. It seems like whoever is running things is trying to tank the company. If you're going digital only, you need to make it actually possible to buy your products. This whole situation really frustrated me.
Don't bother. Their products are actually great. Their online shipping and delivery system though, total disaster.
This company is a mess when it comes to online ordering. If you really want their diaries, just go to a store and buy them there instead. Ordering online from them is terrible because they can't seem to get packages to the UK in less than a month. Their customer support people barely respond and when they do, they give you bad information. I don't get why they'd hurt their own brand like this when the actual diary product is really good. It feels like a rip off to have to deal with such bad service just because I ordered online. I've ordered from them three times over the years, and the last two actually did arrive, but only after a lot of complaining. Next year I'm trying a different brand. Saying goodbye to this company, though I'm guessing I'll be dealing with refund requests for the next few months.
These eyeglass frames are pretty disappointing quality-wise. They look nice but fall apart easily. The hinges broke after just a couple of months and can't be fixed. My eye doctor switched them out for me, but the replacement pair had the exact same problem. I'd recommend skipping these.
You literally cannot log into their website, no matter what you try. It either says your birth date is wrong when it isn't, or the security check doesn't work. It's a frustrating experience. I did get a paper notepad which is actually a nice product, but I wanted to download a free template and they make it impossible to access anything.
