Recently I returned a jacket and a shirt and ordered the jacket in a different size. The original items were sent back and received well before their 60-day window. But Roamans held onto them for three weeks, then shipped them back to me claiming they were old merchandise and couldn't be refunded or credited. Meanwhile, both the jacket and shirt are still being sold on their website right now. This is how they treat long-time customers. They've lost my business permanently and I'd tell anyone thinking about shopping here to reconsider. I'd give zero stars if I could.
Made the mistake of paying with my debit card. When I tried to track the order, I couldn't find my order number so I called and they said they had nothing on file for an order, even though they'd already charged my account $58.67. Once I found my paperwork with the order number, I called back and they said the order was cancelled due to lack of stock. I never got an email about that. They also told me I wouldn't be charged until the item shipped, which obviously didn't happen, yet the money was already withdrawn from my bank. If I'd used a credit card I could dispute it easily, but with a debit card you're basically out of luck getting your money back. Always use a credit card, never a debit card with this company.
I tried to cancel my order but they refused. I haven't even gotten a shipping notification so it should definitely be cancellable. I'm instructing my delivery driver to refuse the package and I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. This company and all its sister brands should be shut down.
I bought a sweater recently and it took forever just to arrive. When it showed up, it was completely the wrong item. I'm never ordering from them again.
Don't believe their promises about delivery timing. I was repeatedly assured my order would arrive by Friday with express shipping, supposedly being sent Wednesday. That never happened. Their customer service reps just repeat scripted responses with absolutely no actual help or willingness to solve problems. They clearly don't stand behind their company or value their customers at all.
Bought a top for an event, but it made me look terrible so I sent it back. I'd gotten it on clearance for around $18 after it was marked down from over a hundred bucks. With shipping, my total was around $28. It took forever to arrive. I returned it the next day using their label, printed it myself, and dropped it off at the post office. Then I heard about their new $10.99 restocking fee and sure enough, out of my $28 original charge, they only refunded me about $8. Not worth my time and trouble. That top's going to become a blanket for a dog at my local shelter instead of getting refunded. Roamans, you've just lost another customer thanks to your ridiculous restocking fees and non-refundable shipping. I'm sure you're thrilled about that.
Nobody at this company will actually help customers. My aunt had been loyal to them for decades with a perfect payment history. She bought three dresses but then got diagnosed with serious cancer and asked me to return them for her, which I did right away. They claim they never received the returns even though I have the receipts from where I shipped them. So they closed her account and now they're saying she owes them six hundred dollars in late fees. It's gone to collections. This is inexcusable.
They told me that to get a price match I'd have to place a brand new order and then mail back the first one. That makes no sense whatsoever. Why should I have to do that? I'm done shopping here.
My mother has been ordering from Roaman's my whole life, so when I wanted to shop there too, I felt confident it would be good. And I was right! The clothes actually fit properly, which is rare. Quality is great and everything shows up as described. In fifteen-plus years I've only had one problem, a wrong size, and they immediately sent the right one and handled the swap with no hassle. Roaman's is owned by the same parent company as Lane Bryant, FullBeauty, Woman Within, and Brylane Home, so you can use any of your cards at all their stores. I love being able to use my Roaman's card to shop at FullBeauty or any of the others. It's incredibly convenient and honestly I might shop too much because of it. My UPS delivery person and I have basically become friends at this point since they show up three or four times a week at my door. If you haven't shopped there in years because you thought it was only for older customers, go back and check it out again. They've got tons of fresh new styles and colors that'll surprise you.
