What Shoppers Say About Tempo
Tempo receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 17 shoppers rating it 1.6 out of 5. The small minority of satisfied customers praise the meal quality and customization options, noting that dishes match their preferences and taste good. However, the dominant pattern across reviews centers on serious operational and customer service failures: billing issues (charging customers during paused subscriptions), refund disputes where the company refuses full reimbursement, unreliable delivery partners causing late arrivals and incomplete orders, long shipping delays (up to two months for accessories), and unresponsive customer support that fails to resolve problems after multiple contact attempts.
Beyond service failures, reviewers describe concerning business practices, including using free membership offers to appease customers about stock-outs and marking high-priced items as backordered after purchase. The combination of product quality issues (bland food reported by some users), unreliability, and inflexible refund policies has created a pattern where frustrated customers feel trapped by credits they are forced to use rather than receiving refunds. Multiple reviewers mention spending significant amounts with nothing to show for it or considering chargebacks as their only recourse.

Sorted by: Most recentThis machine and the service are both terrible. I bought two Tempo products, the large Studio and the Lite, hoping the second one would be better. Both of them had audio problems. The Studio's speaker was blown out so I couldn't hear the instructor. With the Lite, every time I put my phone in the dock, the sound cuts off completely. I emailed the company for months with no response. When they finally got back to me, I tried every troubleshooting step and nothing worked. I don't mind having the weights sit around unused, but I shouldn't have to keep paying the monthly fee for a broken service. Oh but they locked me into a twelve month contract for this faulty machine. I'm being charged over forty dollars monthly for classes I can't even use because the device won't function.
This is outrageous. They added a twelve month commitment buried in their terms and conditions page without mentioning it up front. When I asked to cancel and where I agreed to this, they told me I should have read the terms page, where it's hidden way down in the middle bottom section. This company is straight up operating a scam.
The food in my first delivery was absolutely terrible. I tried eating the turkey entrée and it was completely inedible - the quality was poor and definitely not worth what I paid. I need a refund. I know there are people who need food out there, but I honestly have to throw this away.
I've been using my Tempo Move for over a month and I absolutely love it. I tried Peloton before but was frustrated because there wasn't a clear program or goal to work toward. Then I switched to just a regular strength app with a progression plan, but I had to guess at the right weights. Tempo Move combines everything I wanted - real instructors, structured workout plans with tests at the start and finish to track improvement, automatic weight suggestions, rep tracking, and form feedback. The personalized programs push me harder than anything else I've done. The body scan feature really impressed me too - I was shocked to learn I'd lost seven pounds of fat and gained six pounds of muscle even though the scale only showed one pound down. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews here because Tempo Move is honestly everything I've been looking for. My only minor issue is sometimes the instructor's voice is hard to make out - I wish I could turn up their volume separately from the music or see closed captions.
Been using this machine for a year now. The concept sounded good but what you actually get isn't even close to what they promise. The hardware quality is terrible. I've contacted support multiple times and they even sent a technician, but now there are wires hanging out from underneath the machine. My wifi connection to it remains awful no matter what. The classes are decent, but the machine itself has issues. Apple Watch hardly ever connects. The rep counter doesn't work consistently. The trainers demonstrate moves but don't really work out with you or challenge themselves. The music volume is too quiet and can't be increased. For the price you're paying, you're not getting what you think you are. They push you to buy extra gear but the workouts barely use them. Plus all the on-the-go classes are stripped down versions.
I placed an order last fall and received the wrong color plus the audio had this strange static issue. The bench I was supposed to get in December still hasn't shown up. I was told it'd arrive in early January, then February came and went, now they're saying April. This is incredibly frustrating because I can't do my upper body workout routine without that equipment. I wouldn't have bought anything if I'd known about these delays.
I wanted to like this product but at the price point, there are way too many problems. You end up spending more time troubleshooting with tech support than actually working out. Plus they'll sell you items that aren't even being made or available yet. The weight clips also don't secure properly and your weights can fall and hurt you.
