Sorted by: Most recentOverpriced and being ripped off. Wanted to order a clock face piece and they wanted to charge fifty dollars for shipping when the standard postal service quoted sixteen thirty. It was cheaper buying it shipped straight from Ireland. When I complained to the Australian office, their rep was rude and said some pretty dishonest things. I won't be going back to Waterford Australia and I'd suggest everyone else look elsewhere too.
Got some really nice looking champagne flutes. They're gorgeous when they arrived, except they say Made in Slovenia! I was buying these specifically for the Irish heritage. Slovenia! Why not just go all the way and have them manufactured in China to cut costs even more?
I wanted to share my positive experience after seeing all the negative comments. I've always gone with Waterford, so I picked up some glasses this time without checking reviews, which probably would have scared me off. Five out of my six pieces came out great - one highball tumbler had a tiny chip, which shouldn't happen at this price point. I'll admit it's frustrating that you can't call customer service since the phone line seems disconnected, and email responses are slow. The reason I'm giving five stars is because they approved a replacement right away without making me ship the damaged one back, and they processed it super fast. I felt I should post this to give a more complete picture.
What a letdown. Got a crystal decanter for two hundred twenty pounds on the tenth of January. By the thirteenth, I got a generic email saying my order was delayed. Nothing after that, which sucked because I needed it as a wedding gift. When I asked for an update on the twentieth, still nothing. Then on the twenty-ninth, they email again saying they cancelled it because they're out of stock. Really? It took them almost three weeks to figure that out? Beyond incompetent. If I owned stock in this company, I'd be demanding explanations. This is my first and last purchase from them. Now I've only got a week to find another wedding present.
Absolutely terrible service. I've been trying to reach someone about a wrong shipment. We ordered champagne glasses and received a gravy boat instead. I've emailed customer service multiple times and gotten nothing but silence. There's not even a phone number. I'm out over a hundred dollars. Will I ever order straight from them again? Never. On January 19th, they finally sent the trash order, but it came quick. Too bad it's not what I wanted.
I placed an order on December sixteenth and got my tracking info on the nineteenth. I was monitoring the shipment through DHL and on December twenty-third it showed up in the Netherlands, then nothing. I've tried calling customer service three times and haven't heard back. This morning I contacted DHL and found out the tracking number exists but the package was never even picked up or sent out. For a well-known brand, having absolutely zero customer service is pathetic. I'll never be ordering from them again.
Awful experience overall. I placed my order plenty early for the holidays but got nothing. There's basically no way to reach anyone online. When I finally called the actual store in Ireland, they were fantastic and helpful. Unfortunately, the online division is based in the UK and just won't help at all.
Don't waste your time with this company. I bought something well before the holidays and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Nothing on their site about any delivery problems. Contacting them is basically impossible, you can only email customer service which is a terrible bare minimum. Eventually someone replied mentioning a delay and said they'd send it that week, then I've heard absolutely nothing despite multiple follow-up emails asking where my stuff is. No package and no further word from them. This is no way to run a business and something is clearly broken. Just avoid it.
Extremely frustrated. Our home has housed an incredible amount of Waterford Crystal since our 1978 wedding, ranging from glassware to light fixtures, lamps, and chandeliers. I've reached out to their customer service at least five times about getting wood plinths for a globe and a two-arm candelabra, but nothing has been resolved. They claim they'll help, then they consistently let you down. We've found that Lalique and Baccarat actually value their customers much more.
Zero customer support! I paid an extra forty bucks to get something delivered by a certain date. It didn't make it. Email is your only option to contact them, and good luck getting anyone to answer. I had to get a different gift and shell out money to ship the Waterford back. I'm done with this company for good!
