What Shoppers Say About Waterford
Waterford is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 20 shoppers, with a majority of reviews expressing serious concerns about customer service, shipping, and product sourcing. Shoppers report significant frustrations with unresponsive customer support, excessive shipping costs, unexplained order delays, wrong items being shipped, and a lack of accessible contact methods such as phone support. Several customers specifically purchased Waterford products expecting Irish-made goods but received items manufactured in Slovenia or other countries, feeling misled about the brand's heritage and value proposition. A small group of satisfied customers praise the aesthetic quality of the glassware and crystal pieces when they arrive as ordered, though even positive reviews acknowledge that quality issues such as chips are unacceptable at the premium price point.
The overwhelmingly negative feedback centers on logistics and communication failures rather than product design. Multiple shoppers report being unable to resolve shipping problems, order errors, or tracking issues despite repeated attempts to contact the company. Customers express frustration that Waterford's website lacks clear communication channels and that their customer service team is either unresponsive or dismissive when complaints are raised. The combination of high prices, unreliable delivery, manufacturing location concerns, and poor post-purchase support has left most recent reviewers unlikely to purchase from Waterford again.

Sorted by: Most recentWe gave a Waterford vase to our son and his new wife as a wedding present. It turned out to be defective and got a chip within months. Waterford provides their Australian customers with a one-year replacement warranty, but there is no warranty if you're in the US. Their attitude was basically that the stuff is meant to look at, not actually use. Here's the thing about this brand: the reputation is all about how it looks, not about it actually lasting. They don't seem to care about their integrity, but we do, so we picked up something from another company for our kids instead.
I've gotten various items from them and when something goes wrong, like when my decanter got chipped, they ship out a replacement super fast. The items are really well made and they've taken good care of me.
Trying to send something back has turned into a nightmare. I've been emailing customer service for nearly three weeks with zero response. This is unacceptable.
Horrible customer service! You can't actually call them and emails go unanswered. Do not buy online from these people. I dropped a hundred twenty dollars and there's no way I'm getting my money back.
Love buying from them repeatedly. Their items are just beautiful and shopping there is convenient and hassle-free. Very satisfied overall!
Great merchandise and straightforward ordering. Buying from them is a breeze and everything looks fantastic so far!
Customer support doesn't exist here. I bought a couple of vases and champagne flutes that never showed up. According to UPS tracking, it was delivered, but I'm guessing it went to the wrong spot. UPS said the seller has to start an investigation. I've sent plenty of emails and used their contact form with absolutely no answers. My credit card company even got their number and they won't return those calls either.
Something's off with this customer service. Is this actually the real deal? When I asked when some whiskey glasses in a presentation box would be back in stock, they confirmed yes on the presentation box, then went silent. I sent three or four messages with no answer. When the glasses came back, I grabbed them anyway. They don't ring like the crystal I've bought from them before. They're weighty and look good, but they don't have that crystal sound. After reading the reviews here, I'm not going to take my chances with them again. Is this even the actual Waterford Crystal we think we're buying? Pretty suspicious.
My daughter gave me these Waterford wine glasses as a Christmas gift, but they're the wrong size. Getting ahold of customer service on their website is practically impossible. Skip this place. Their return process doesn't work.
