What Shoppers Say About Zerohalliburton.com
Zero Halliburton receives sharply divided feedback, with the vast majority of recent reviews expressing serious dissatisfaction. Shoppers report widespread durability issues including broken locks, failed latches, and wheels that malfunction after minimal use, despite premium price points ranging from $745 to $1,050. Additional complaints center on excessive handling and shipping charges for replacement parts, an unresponsive customer service approach (email only, no phone support), and perceived lack of transparency about manufacturing origins despite the "designed in America" marketing claim. The lifetime warranty is criticized as impractical and difficult to honor.
A small minority of shoppers report positive long-term experiences, citing solid build quality and responsive customer support that successfully resolved issues. However, this favorable perspective represents a stark outlier among recent reviews. The overwhelming pattern suggests that customers encounter reliability problems relatively quickly into ownership and face frustrating obstacles when seeking warranty service or replacement parts.

Sorted by: Most recentThe handling charges on replacement parts are out of control. I bought a polycarbonate suitcase about four years back and the handle snapped recently. Went to order a replacement and they slapped a handling fee over $30 on me, which is practically as much as the handle costs. It's crazy to charge that much just to fix something that's supposed to have replaceable parts. At those fees it barely makes sense to even do the repair, and honestly it's turning me off from buying their stuff again. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth about this company.
This is the worst luggage I've ever owned. Picked up an aluminum carry-on and the lock wouldn't even open out of the box. Sent it in and got a replacement. The new one opened fine but after using it a handful of times the latch broke and it wouldn't lock anymore. I ended up mailing it back three different times because something always broke. The problem was how cheap they built the lock mechanism with a plastic holder just glued to the latch. That wasn't even the main issue though. They clearly cut corners everywhere on this thousand dollar bag just to boost their margins. The aluminum shell looks good but everything else is garbage. My friend bought the same model and had identical problems. Both of us switched to regular luggage brands because we're done getting ripped off by companies that think customers are dumb. Never buying from them again.
Got two of their suitcases and within a year and a half both fell apart. Completely unacceptable. Spent $1,050 on the Geo Aluminum carry-on and $745 on the Classic Lightweight 28 inch model. Used them regularly for travel and both became totally broken. The Geo had a broken combination lock and a latch that wouldn't shut. When I called them up, they wouldn't replace it, only repair it if I paid to ship it myself and bought another bag while waiting. The Classic Lightweight lost a wheel getting handled by airline staff. They wouldn't help because it happened at the airport and the airline wouldn't cover everything. Two expensive bags ruined in under two years with zero real help from the company. Look at what long-time owners actually say, not the brand new customer reviews.
Way too expensive for stuff made in China. They like to say everything is designed in America, but they work really hard to hide where it's actually manufactured. I tried asking about this and got nothing back, which tells you something. You can't even call them on the phone, only email. Then once you already bought it, they finally mention that products are designed here but made in China following their specs. Misleading at best.
Stay away from this brand. Their lifetime warranty is basically meaningless. When a wheel needed replacing on my case, they demanded I ship the whole thing back to them even though that would cost a fortune to do, especially from outside the US. The wheels pop off and on without any problem, but they refuse to send out individual replacements. It's a total ripoff. I own 2 of their cases that I paid over $2000 for and both are now useless with the same wheel problem. I've barely taken them anywhere either.
Been traveling with my Zero Halliburton case for a decade now and it's been a solid performer across tons of trips. Just recently had one small part break and I contacted support about it. They jumped on it right away and made things right. The build quality and the way they treat customers really sets them apart. Really pleased with this purchase.
