The company used to be excellent, but new ownership has been a complete letdown. The supplement formula isn't as strong as it once was with lower amounts of key ingredients, yet the price keeps climbing. My orders keep getting mixed up, delayed, canceled, or changed without explanation. With my last purchase, I had to call customer service five separate times just to get them to fix the order they kept botching. I finally decided to cancel everything and move to a different supplier. The new parent company has completely dismantled what made this place special. I'd strongly recommend finding another vendor.

I ordered fish and salmon oil back in summer and waited ages for it to show up. The fish finally arrived but with no advance notice and zero tracking updates. The salmon oil came a full month later. In August I placed another order for the salmon oil thinking it would take about a month. Now it's January and still nothing, and they've changed the delivery date four different times. The latest estimate was early February. Then I discovered they canceled the order on the first of January but never gave me my money back. They're claiming they already refunded it through PayPal, but when I look at my account, there's no refund showing up. They're trying to hold onto my hundred twenty five dollars and it's really frustrating. The company keeps giving me different answers. PayPal also says they can't find any record of a refund from this company or their parent companies, just the original charge from five months earlier. PayPal is also getting the runaround. I definitely won't be ordering from them again. Their business practices seem shady. As a supposed apology for stringing me along, they offered to sell me a discounted gift basket, which is just insulting.

Since corporate bought this company, things have gone downhill fast. I phoned customer service and got routed overseas where there was so much noise and commotion in the background that I could barely hear anything. Even when I brought this up multiple times, the agent didn't seem to care. I've been ordering here for over two decades and loved their supplements, which I took daily for all those years. Now those supplements have disappeared from their catalog. The fish quality has changed too since they switched their shipping method, and it arrives partially thawed instead of solid frozen. The fish is coming from the Pacific Northwest now rather than Alaska mostly. I'm really disappointed in how much this place has declined. My cardiologist actually started using those supplements after I recommended them, and he mentioned that doctors throughout the cardiac center were using them too. My last bottle just ran out and I didn't even realize they stopped carrying them. It's a real shame.

I wish I could give less than one star! It's heartbreaking how Vital Choice sold out to a big corporation and stopped being the independent, well-managed seafood supplier it used to be. We were regular buyers and now we're not. The fish quality has dropped significantly and customer service is even worse. I'll be getting my seafood from a different company that actually maintains consistent quality and treats customers right. The salmon I received was completely unfrozen when it showed up, which was the first problem. Then trying to reach customer service turned into a nightmare. The agent couldn't speak English clearly and was sitting in an office full of other agents all on calls at once, so I could barely understand anything she said.

We've been loyal customers for nearly a decade and were always grateful to have found such a reliable, trustworthy seafood provider that also felt like supporting a smaller operation. That's all changed now. After the acquisition by a larger corporation, things shifted dramatically. Our recent package shipped from a warehouse in the Midwest instead of Alaska. We no longer feel confident in them and regret losing what used to be our trusted seafood source.

The fish tastes amazing! It doesn't have that overpowering fishy flavor. The four ounce portions work great for us and the pricing is reasonable too.

Her package had warm fish that sat on a delivery truck for a whole weekend. With this new ownership, I expect their service will just keep getting worse.
