Since corporate ownership changed hands, this chain has really gone downhill. I've eaten at Whataburgers all around the state and the decline is obvious. Quality has suffered and service has gotten noticeably worse no matter which location you walk into. Staff members don't seem energized about helping customers anymore and you get the sense they'd rather you weren't there. It's disappointing to see a business with such a long Texas tradition get picked up by out-of-state corporations that only care about the bottom line and not about maintaining standards. People notice this stuff and they're not happy about it.
