About WooCommerce

WooCommerce is a leading e-commerce platform and business software solution that enables merchants to build and manage online stores. Shoppers and business owners seek promo codes and deals to reduce costs on WooCommerce products, services, and extensions that power their digital storefronts.

How to Use a WooCommerce Promo Code

  1. Visit RetailCoupons.com and check the offers list at the top of this page to find any current promo codes for WooCommerce.
  2. Copy the coupon code provided and navigate to the WooCommerce checkout or account management area where you plan to apply it.
  3. Paste the code into the designated coupon or promo code field at checkout or in your billing section.
  4. Verify that the discount has been applied to your order total and that it meets any terms or conditions listed with the offer.
  5. Complete your payment and purchase to finalize the transaction with your savings applied.

Promo Code Not Working? Try This

  • Check that you copied the entire code correctly, including any capital letters or numbers, since codes are often case-sensitive.
  • Confirm the code has not expired by reviewing the offer details on RetailCoupons.com before attempting to use it.
  • Verify that your purchase meets any eligibility requirements stated with the offer, such as minimum order value or product category restrictions.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try applying the code again, as technical issues sometimes prevent proper code recognition.
  • Ensure you are logged into the correct WooCommerce account, as some offers may be tied to specific account types or prior purchase history.
  • Contact WooCommerce customer support if the code should be valid but the system continues to reject it.

WooCommerce Savings Hacks

Monitor RetailCoupons.com regularly

WooCommerce offers rotate in from its affiliate programs on a regular basis. Check back often to catch new deals as soon as they become available.

Review eligibility before checkout

Always read the full terms of any offer on RetailCoupons.com before proceeding to purchase, so you understand minimum order amounts, product categories, and timing requirements.

Stack savings with account discounts

Some business software platforms offer loyalty or volume discounts for returning customers or larger commitments. Combine these with available promo codes for maximum savings.

Subscribe to business plan promos

WooCommerce periodically runs promotions on annual or multi-year subscriptions. Committing to a longer term can unlock additional discounts beyond one-time coupon codes.

WooCommerce Shipping Policy

Shipping policies for WooCommerce products and services depend on the type of purchase, such as hosted solutions, plugins, or extensions. Review the specific product page and checkout summary for details on delivery timeframes and any applicable shipping costs before completing your order.

WooCommerce Returns & Refund Policy

Return policies for software products, services, and digital goods typically differ from physical merchandise. Consult WooCommerce's terms of service and the specific product documentation to understand eligibility windows and refund procedures for your purchase type.

WooCommerce receives sharply divided feedback from users. Supporters praise it as a powerful, flexible open-source platform that has successfully enabled small businesses to launch and grow their e-commerce operations. However, a significant portion of reviewers report serious concerns about account management, payment processing, and customer service. Common complaints include account freezes without clear explanation, delayed or withheld payments, high international transaction fees (over 5.5% plus per-transaction charges), and poor dispute resolution that some claim favors customers over merchants. Several users also note that while the core platform is solid, the official plugins are viewed as overpriced subscription services that lack meaningful updates.

The rating distribution reflects this polarization, with roughly equal percentages of one-star and five-star reviews. Users who recommend WooCommerce tend to value its flexibility and open-source nature for small-to-medium businesses. Those leaving negative ratings describe feeling unsupported during disputes and frustrated by payment complications and fees. Prospective users should weigh the platform's technical capabilities against these reported concerns about account security, payment reliability, and support responsiveness.

WooCommerce is fantastic for small business owners. It completely transformed how we handle e-commerce for our two event brands. Both are thriving with their new online sales capabilities. So grateful for what this has enabled.

All things considered it works well and provides what I'm looking for in a web platform.

Absolutely the most aggravating platform to use. If you want to destroy your business and waste money, this is the place to do it. They'll approve refunds for customers without checking with you first and don't care about protecting your business. You won't even get your products back and they seem to support the scammers instead. After dealing with this stress and financial loss, I switched to Shopify. This system causes way too many problems and costs you money.

Whether you get paid or not depends on whether they decide to let you. I operate a membership site that's only accessible to logged-in subscribers since there's nothing there for them to verify, but they froze my account and won't release the funds anyway. Thankfully I was just testing things out so I only lost twelve dollars, but now I have to get my credit card company involved to dispute the charge. It's a huge hassle. I'm sticking with PayPal for subscription stuff and this company will never be my first choice anywhere else either.

The fees for international transactions are outrageous. Over 5.5% plus an extra 25 cents per transaction. That's a complete ripoff.

The actual platform is solid and very flexible since it's open source unlike its competitors. However, I'd recommend staying away from their official plugins if you can help it and going with third party alternatives like YITH instead. Here's the thing: their plugins feel like lazy cash grabs that charge subscription fees but rarely get better. All they do is the bare minimum to keep things secure and compatible with new WordPress versions. You ask for feature improvements? Forget about it. It doesn't matter how valuable the suggestion is. We used a bunch of their plugins before and just stopped renewing because smaller development teams have taken over their market share with better code, more frequent updates, and way more features. Plus those alternatives cost the same or less. WooCommerce, this has been happening for years, maybe even a decade. At some point you need to stop just extracting money from customers and actually invest that revenue back into making your plugins better. But let's be honest, you probably don't care. Why am I even bothering with this review anyway.

Stay away from this company. Do not give them your business under any circumstances. They freeze your payments that you've rightfully earned and don't tell you upfront what the rules are. Here's what they told me in an email: we're holding your money until we see more activity and a solid track record. By solid track record they mean you need regular sales over a longer time period. But they won't explain which transactions matter or how long you have to wait, which is incredibly frustrating. We might look at unfreezing your account eventually once you've had regular sales for a while. If it's still frozen after you do everything right, feel free to reach out. This is how they operate. Undisclosed rules, mystery timelines, and held funds.

Do not use this payment processor. It's honestly the worst option out there. I moved my online stores to this platform during the busy season and was doing great with sales. Then after just one week, they refunded every single customer without even asking for more information from me, even though I had submitted all of my business documentation and proof. I lost the money from my customers and also lost the money for the products I had already shipped out. My business went into crisis mode when it was actually doing well before this happened. This platform is dangerous. Stay away from it completely.

Do not use this service if you can avoid it. I would have never started with them if I'd known how bad they were. About a week ago my website started malfunctioning with the coupon system, and I was losing serious money from this glitch. I reached out to support thinking it was a subscriptions issue. They basically blew me off saying oh, it's probably not us, maybe it's a conflict with another plugin. Even after my development team and I kept telling them this was definitely their plugin causing the problem, they denied it. I'm paying them $350 a year and they took zero responsibility. Their advice was just find a developer, or maybe try this other company for $150 to troubleshoot plugin conflicts. That's nonsense. The issue had nothing to do with other plugins and was completely caused by their subscriptions product. Even their own tech team eventually realized this when they fixed it in the next update. The support was ridiculous and the whole experience was disappointing. I'm really upset because my entire business depends on their subscriptions tool. If I had known how bad this company was from the start...

We switched from Shopify after they shut down our store that had been running for 4 years because we complained about their terrible service and lack of support. Moving to WooCommerce wasn't something we planned, but we're really grateful we did. The support team here is incredible. I got to do a 30-minute video call with two actual tech support people who helped me figure out next steps for the store. That's the kind of service you don't get anymore. Shopify even removed account managers from their premium tier which costs $2000 a month, so now even their high-end customers have no real human support. If you want to work with actual people instead of chatbots, choose WooCommerce. They're honestly the last company offering genuine human support at this level. Plus Shopify held onto $7000 of our money and wouldn't respond to our messages for weeks. Come to WooCommerce if you value real customer service.

They're willing to host websites that are running scams and using stolen material.

As someone managing the books for our company, I can't generate a simple report showing individual product sales that matches what actually hits our bank account. The reports available just give me reference numbers and I have to click through each one separately to see what was really sold, then manually copy everything into a spreadsheet. It's incredibly time consuming and makes me want to pull my hair out. WooCommerce, can you please make this straightforward for people like me?

Vincent P.Nov 10, 2023

I ordered something from a store on the Woo platform and it never showed up. The seller was clearly running a scam operation through Woo's hosted solution. I really think Woo needs to investigate this vendor and shut them down immediately to keep other shoppers safe from getting ripped off.

Sophie M.Jul 13, 2020

Not flawless by any means, but there's really nothing else that compares when it comes to flexibility and user friendliness. We operate multiple web shops using WooCommerce. Managing all the plugin updates can be tedious sometimes, but the process keeps getting smoother with each update they release.

I set up my dropshipping site with this and it's been fantastic and really efficient.
