After tons of back and forth emails, all they sent me was a tiny 18x10 cm fabric piece that's the same sample attached to the wetsuit tag. Even worse, it wasn't even the same material used in my Hyperfreak Fire, so it was useless for fixing it properly. I specifically asked if they could provide or sell me the actual matching material so a professional repair person could fix it correctly. Shockingly, nobody could help: not the distributor, not their support team, not even the repair center. They wanted €150 for a repair but couldn't even provide the right fabric if I wanted to try fixing it myself locally. So the issue is twofold.

I bought a long sleeved shirt three years ago that I barely wore and always washed correctly according to the instructions. I bought a pair of men's shorts in March 2025 and paid more than I normally would because I thought the quality justified the price. Now it's July and the plastic button on the waistband snapped. This is horrible and definitely a scam. I bought board shorts that were listed at $59. First off, they charged me $9 for shipping when it should be like $3. Then they added some other random fees and the total ended up being $87. I should have walked away right then. I've purchased O'Neill Psycho Freak wetsuits for many years. In the past I could get three or even four seasons of use out of them. Now the seam sealing on the inside is completely falling apart after just one year and is pretty rough by year two. Makes the suit scratchy and uncomfortable to wear.

Be careful when visiting their website. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I got a message saying too many inquiries and that they were welcoming other customers instead. Everything seems to be perpetually out of stock and they cancelled an order that had already gone through. When I asked about alternatives, they said they didn't have any even though the product name had changed. I'm going to dig into this more but I'm done ordering from them. Something feels off here, like maybe it's a competitor trying to sabotage them. I also want to mention I'm not into basketball and I'm skeptical about other brands too. I just hope they haven't linked my purchase to anything basketball related because that's not my thing at all.
