The main swimming area was uncomfortably cold throughout, and despite requesting one, no indoor pool was available.
I had a frustrating experience with their customer service. When issues came up, nobody seemed willing to take action. Problems just got bounced between departments. The Nassau location itself is acceptable, but only if everything goes smoothly.
It's concerning that this company doesn't appear to prioritize animal welfare. Security personnel chased away three wild donkeys by throwing objects at them. When I tried to address this, the guards were extremely rude and actually pushed me. That kind of treatment toward both animals and guests is unacceptable. Cape Verde location.

The resort in Punta Cana had serious cleanliness problems that don't match a five-star rating. We found insects in the room and malfunctioning shower facilities. The bedding was visibly soiled with stains. Multiple emails to management went ignored. The last couple nights brought more pest problems. Staff seemed unmotivated, pushing brooms instead of doing actual work, particularly in dining areas where everyone just wanted tips. We witnessed staff consuming alcohol multiple times with no supervision. Dining times started at six, but seating was unpredictable even when many tables sat empty. We got told the kitchen was full when only a handful of the eighty seats were occupied. The restaurant pushed us to eat at the buffet instead. This location functions more like a three-star property at best without addressing these significant issues. The service fell drastically short of what we expected for a five-star establishment.

I do want to note the ongoing problem of people using this beautiful space as a public restroom. One shouldn't expect a hotel to provide facilities for every passerby. Dublin's city government should handle public bathroom infrastructure, not place that burden on businesses just trying to operate. In three decades visiting this street, I've patronized various establishments including this one and have never had legitimate complaints about any of them.

It's honestly just a wonderful spot for a vacation.

This newer location is immaculate with outstanding staff. No complaints whatsoever, though I'll joke that being a bit of a perfectionist, I could nitpick. The only minor thing was limited rum selection and no specific brand preference, but that's trivial for such a fantastic vacation. Already booking my next trip for summer!

Highlights included a fantastic hotel setup, an ideal location for our sightseeing plans, exceptionally helpful and courteous personnel, a wonderful drinks lounge with attentive service, and spotless accommodations maintained by hardworking housekeeping staff who deserve recognition. Breakfast offerings were delicious. No real complaints here except for the inevitable tired legs from exploring the city and using public transit. Multiple pools, bars, and dining venues provide excellent variety. The food at specialty restaurants is superb. The customer service team goes above and beyond to help.
