Tiffany & Co. Reviews
Tiffany & Co. receives polarized reviews, with shoppers either highly satisfied or significantly disappointed. Those giving five stars praise exceptional customer service, particularly when staff go beyond expectations to locate sold-out items or expedite shipping. However, a substantial portion of reviewers report serious quality concerns, with jewelry breaking after minimal wear (necklaces snapping after two wears, bracelets failing within six months). Customers also cite unhelpful staff behavior, difficulty obtaining receipts, and frustration with the company's refusal to honor repairs under warranty, with some feeling the brand has declined from its historical reputation.
The polarized ratings suggest inconsistent experiences across Tiffany & Co. locations and customer service interactions. While some customers encounter genuinely helpful representatives willing to problem-solve creatively, others describe dismissive or unsupportive staff responses to legitimate product failures. The recurring complaint about durability issues despite premium pricing raises questions about whether the current product quality justifies the Tiffany & Co. brand positioning.
From beginning to end, this was a terrible experience. The staff was dismissive and unkind, and they wouldn't email a receipt, then claimed they couldn't look up my purchase to send one. After wearing the necklace just twice over two weeks, it snapped in half. When I brought it back to the store, they told me their jewelry doesn't have a warranty and I'd have to pay for repairs. They even suggested I take it home and mail it to their repair center at my cost, which I wasn't going to do. I had to push back hard just to get them to investigate why the necklace failed so badly. Eventually they sent it out, then charged me £80 to repair it plus another £10 to ship it back. This company is a disgrace, and I'm done with them. Looking at online reviews shows tons of customers having similar quality and service issues, but Tiffany staff just deny there's any problem. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else so you don't have to deal with this frustration, wasted money, and stress.
Here's yet another negative experience. The Tiffany brand just isn't what it used to be, and I'd really encourage anyone thinking about buying something here to read through the reviews carefully before making a choice. The products aren't holding up, the people helping customers don't seem to care, and when things go wrong, nobody wants to fix it. It's really disappointing! I'd suggest keeping your money and shopping somewhere else. Tiffany's doesn't deliver on what they claim to offer.
I bought 2 bracelets in April 2024 to celebrate my Pearl wedding anniversary, so they were really meaningful to me. I went to the Manchester location, which is a 3-hour drive from home, and spent £984. After 6 months, one bracelet broke and I'm lucky I didn't lose it somewhere. When I brought it back, the staff there blamed me but said they'd fix it this time. Nobody mentioned it would need restringing every year for about £80. Fast forward a few months and it broke again, plus the other bracelet now has a sharp piece of metal sticking out so I can't wear it safely. Their suggestion was I either drive 3 hours again or mail it in, which I'm not comfortable with, especially after the hassle in the store last time. Customer service was no help at all. These bracelets are falling apart and clearly aren't made well. I feel really upset and honestly ripped off. What was supposed to be a beautiful gift from my husband of 30 years turned into a nightmare.
I tried to buy a necklace for my daughter's 18th birthday but it sold out right before I could complete the purchase. (Busy holiday season!) I called their support line and they tracked down another one in London for me and had it shipped overnight. I didn't catch the woman's name but she was so wonderful to work with. Plus this isn't even my first order from Tiffany, I've gotten several pieces over time and they've all been gorgeous. Really grateful!
I was looking to order a necklace as a gift for my daughter's 18th birthday but found it sold out by checkout time. (It was the busy Christmas rush!) I called customer service and they were fantastic, they actually tracked down the same piece in a London location and got it shipped to me the very next day. I never got the representative's name but she was amazing. This wasn't my first purchase from Tiffany either, I own several pieces and every single one has been lovely. Really grateful for the help!
Terrible Service! Do not shop online. I ordered earrings as a Christmas gift for my partner. When the package showed up and I opened it, the box was completely empty. I contacted Tiffany right away, but they denied responsibility and wouldn't send a replacement or give me a refund. I actually have CCTV footage of the whole thing, including audio, showing me opening the empty box. I sent the video evidence to Adam from Tiffany customer service and they still turned me down for a refund or replacement. I had to send a formal legal notice demanding resolution before they finally agreed to replace it as a 'goodwill gesture.' I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years and spent serious money with them. Their customer service is basically nonexistent, they're rude, they don't want to solve anything, and they act like you're the problem. They won't return calls, they refuse to escalate to management, and overall treat you like you're the one who messed up. I won't ever buy from Tiffany again and I really think people should read this before deciding to shop there.
Over 25 years I've purchased different pieces from Tiffany, everything from 18k gold to silver items. I brought in my 18k gold bracelet to have just two links removed. When they called me back, they said the links looked worn and wanted $1500 to replace parts of the bracelet. I just asked them to take out two links, but they removed seven instead. The bracelet is so small now it wouldn't even fit on a child's doll. My husband already paid for the pickup. I had to phone customer service twice to sort this out. The good news is I still have those links. But honestly, I will never buy anything from Tiffany's again, not as long as I live. I actually just brought my six granddaughters in and bought them necklaces, which I really regret now. The whole customer service experience was awful. They're not getting another penny from me. Period.
That was disappointing, Tiffany. Ordered two different gifts and one was clearly nicer quality. When I called customer service, they said only one of the items met their standards. You've got to step up your game when customers are asking for something really special for someone they love. Really let me down.
The woman who helped me at the 25 Bond Street location was really unprofessional and acted superior, like she wasn't even listening to what I was asking about. Her manager did step in and made things better, but honestly that employee shouldn't be working in customer service with that attitude.
I bought a silver ring as a gift for an 18th birthday celebration. Within a week of wearing it, the ring got really tarnished and scratched up. I contacted Tiffany customer service to report the problem and they said no way would they refund it or swap it for a new one. I'm honestly shocked at how poor the quality is for a £300 silver ring! I won't be shopping with this company ever again.
I ordered a bracelet that arrived defective. The links should have been soldered together so the bracelet stays secure on your wrist, but they weren't. I reached out through online chat to get help, and they wanted to charge me for fixing it. I told them it came that way from Tiffany's and shouldn't cost anything. A supervisor joined the chat, looked through their system, couldn't locate my original order, and when I tried uploading my receipt they just shut down the conversation and asked if I was happy with the response. I said no, but they ended the chat anyway. This is really unacceptable service from a company like Tiffany's. There are plenty of other great jewelry retailers out there, and I'd recommend checking them out first so you don't have to go through this frustrating experience.
I'm really let down with Tiffany & Co. I spent a lot of money on seven sterling silver jewelry pieces because the salesperson promised me that Tiffany gives free cleaning for life. That guarantee made the high price feel more worthwhile, knowing I could always keep my jewelry looking beautiful. Then I go to use that service for the first time and find out it doesn't exist anymore. They didn't explain anything, offer another option, or try to make it right. It was one of the main reasons I bought from them in the first place, but now they act like it never mattered. That feels really dishonest. A company with Tiffany's reputation should back up what they promise and what their staff tells you. If they've gotten rid of the lifetime cleaning, they should either give customers their money back or offer something similar like free cleaning products. Instead, there's been zero help. People need to know that what they're promised during the sale might not actually be available later.
I'm absolutely in love with Tiffany & Co. Ever since I picked out my fiancée's engagement ring (which perfectly captures our special New York moment) and then selected our wedding bands, everything has been absolutely perfect. The iconic Tiffany style really represents everything I adore about the brand and the city, and having these rings on our fingers brings back that incredible day every single time. I have to give a huge thank you to the incredible staff at the Manchester location: they were always so warm, knowledgeable, and truly cared about making our shopping experience feel special. Their expert suggestions and genuine kindness transformed what could've been overwhelming into pure joy. Tiffany & Co., you've given us memories that will last forever!
I stopped by the flagship 5th Avenue store in New York on May 1st to pick out something special for myself, and it was the best shopping experience! Shawn Campbell and my daughter made me feel so valued, he was warm but also truly professional and is a real asset to Tiffany. Thank you, Shawn, for making it so special!
