I'm writing to express my frustration about a truly terrible sales experience at Travis Perkins. This is actually my first complaint like this I've ever written. I tried to order a kitchen setup through their website with a tall larder unit, sink with Belfast styling, trim panels and other pieces for my utility room. The day after I paid, they told me they can't complete the order because the items got discontinued and they can't sell them. They said it would take five working days just to refund my money. I'm really upset because they had these products listed on their site when they couldn't actually provide them. There's no way to speed this up, no consideration for the customer. If this is the level of service you get from this company, shop elsewhere.

From top management all the way down to everyone working in the store and yard at the Newquay location, this is an outstanding team. They handle anything without complaint and are a real asset to the company.

We had a really great experience when Dan delivered a fence panel to our location. He didn't just drop it off, he actually offered to help us install it alongside some of our volunteers. Dan's generosity and willingness to pitch in made a real difference. We're really grateful for what he did.

Unfortunately I had a really frustrating experience with Travis Perkins. A wrong item on my order, wrong size fasteners to be specific, turned into a nightmare that dragged on for weeks. Despite sending multiple emails and trying to escalate, I was constantly asked the same things, got promised return calls that never happened, and nothing actually improved. I finally just purchased what I actually needed elsewhere to move forward. Something that should have been simple ended up being unnecessarily difficult with poor communication and broken promises. I wouldn't suggest using them based on my experience.

My experience with Travis Perkins turned out to be really disappointing. I got the wrong size screws in my order, which sounds simple, but it ended up taking forever to sort out. I sent email after email, kept escalating the issue, but kept getting asked the same questions over and over. They said someone would call me back but never did, and nothing actually got done. Eventually I just had to go buy the right screws myself from somewhere else so I could keep my work on track. What should have been an easy return became a huge hassle with bad communication and no real support. I can't recommend them based on what happened.

Don't make the mistake of using this company. I paid to rent a sander and it never showed up. They told me the delivery truck broke down and I'd have to wait a week. I asked for my money back since that timing didn't work for me. They said sure, full refund. But I only got half the amount back. When I asked what happened, they claimed it was their mistake and promised the rest, but it never came. I had to chase them down again asking where my money was. Then they said, 'sorry, we can't put it back in your bank account, you have to come pick up cash at our office' which is an hour away. I said no way, and asked them to refund it another way since I paid with my card online in the first place. They refused and said cash only. It's been over a month and they still have my money. This company is a complete disaster.

Bobby at the Crewe branch was incredibly helpful and sorted out all my questions with no problem. Definitely heading back there in the future!

The Crewe location is fantastic, honestly. These people really make the effort to go beyond what's expected, including helping load up our truck. Everyone there has great knowledge and can answer pretty much any question I throw at them. Orders show up when they say they will, which is refreshing. We've rented equipment there too and it's always in great condition. Far and away the best branch around.

These have to be some of the nicest and most helpful people I've run into. I came in this morning needing guidance on putting together my own shed, and a guy named Paul was totally willing to assist me even though it was pouring rain. The people inside the store were equally wonderful and professional. This is the top builders merchant around, great for professional contractors and regular folks alike. Five stars all the way!
