Their shipping takes forever. If timing matters at all, don't count on them to hit their deadlines. We were okay waiting two weeks, but it came way later than that date they promised. It didn't even ship until basically the last second before that deadline, so the package with our two swim trunks got there too late for our getaway. Not ordering again because of this.

Their customer service is pretty bad. Would never order from them again.

Chubbies needs to step up their game when it comes to handling customers. A lot of people are tired of dealing with overseas call centers, language barriers, and being stuck on hold forever. Most companies are moving toward email, text, and live chat options, which makes sense. Chubbies uses mostly bots to try to help, but that just means slower replies and super long chat lines where they end up telling you to email them anyway. You might get a message saying someone will email you back if no one can talk to you right now. Don't get me wrong, their stuff is solid, but the way they handle support is complicated enough that people probably go elsewhere. Brands like Tommy Bahama, LL Bean, and Columbia give you actual people to talk to. I'd rather shop somewhere that doesn't make customer interaction feel like a hassle.

These Chubbies clothes are totally worth it. I rock a 3XL in their swim trunks and the fit is perfect. The ones I picked up are my favorite pair, and I scored them on a good sale. This brand really knows what they're doing when it comes to quality apparel and clothes, especially swim gear. Their designs are sharp, the prices aren't crazy high, and they always have solid deals running.

Picked up two pairs of shorts over a month ago and completed the payment. Got my tracking details right away but the tracking never got updated and nothing ever arrived. I tried reaching out to customer service by email multiple times with no response. Their chat support is just a robot that can't solve anything, and when I finally got transferred to a real person, I sat around waiting for hours and never heard back. Ever since they got bought out, their support has really gone downhill. You can't get anyone on the phone about missing orders, refunds, or anything else.

I've dealt with basically the same problem twice now, once last year and once this year. Both times my order was late getting shipped with unclear wait times and poor communication overall. Last year a representative named Melissa offered me a nice fix on the spot: they'd refund me the sale amount plus give me half off for three months. I was grateful for that, but then hardly anything I wanted ever came back in stock, so I never actually used it and eventually it expired without me being able to take advantage. This year I decided to give them another chance. Same thing happened again, my order got split up and shipped late. When I reminded them about last year's broken promise and asked for something meaningful this time, they just brushed me off with a generic discount code, the kind they probably give everybody. When I pushed back, they said they couldn't do anything else. It's not just the slow shipping that bothers me. It's that they keep making big promises they don't keep and won't own up to it. The worst part is they remember the last problem but still won't fix it. They seem way more into their funny brand image than actually taking care of their customers.

I normally never have issues with these shorts because the quality is genuinely fantastic and worth every penny spent. However, I run a volleyball squad and grab team shorts from them every single year in basically the same sizes. This year we had some roster changes and I ended up needing to swap out a couple of items. Dany and Erin made it super simple and painless. All I did was text them and they handled everything on their end. They kept telling me it was totally cool even though I was apologizing a bunch because I felt bad about being a hassle. Being able to text with an actual human who helps you is honestly such a big deal. The whole experience with their support team was phenomenal from beginning to end.

I got a pair of shorts as a gift and ordered them on a certain date in November. The shipment got stuck in Portland, Oregon after it arrived there in early December and never moved again. FedEx told me I wasn't going to get the package. There's no phone number to call for help. The chatbot told me I can't get my money back unless the package shows up. Just stay away from ordering from this place.

Got the white polo that's got the flag design on it. After washing it twice, the collar started bunching up and just looked rough. That's a real bummer because the material felt awesome, especially when playing golf in the heat. I'll probably switch back to other brands for polos like the usual suspects.

Can't get enough of this brand, especially their shorts. Just grabbed another pair. My go-to pair that I bought ages ago are still holding up great!

Really enjoy what Chubbies makes and I'm always telling people about them. My main issue is that their support team just doesn't seem to exist. I've sent multiple support requests and never hear back from anyone. It's been frustrating because I genuinely like the brand but the lack of communication is a real letdown.

I've been a Chubbies customer since 2012. I started out buying their comfy khaki shorts and later moved on to their sport shorts and polos, which have all been phenomenal quality. Recently I've picked up some of their pants and jackets, and everything has been fantastic. This company has really developed into a quality menswear brand over the years and I'll keep buying from them as long as they maintain their standards for products and stay dedicated to great customer support.

Seems like a total scam. I bought two pairs of shorts and got a message that they were sold out, so I called customer service and they told me they had them in stock. They placed a new order for me and swore up and down I wouldn't be charged again because I'd already paid. But then another email came through saying they were out of stock again. I asked for my money back. They said it would happen, but when I checked, I only got part of what I originally paid. I basically got charged for something they don't even have, and that's pretty sketchy. I'm done with this company for good.
