These boots look nice and feel good, but I've got a major safety concern. While out walking, the lacing from one boot got snagged on the heel loop of the other and caused me to trip hard. I took a tumble that left my feet, knees, and hands pretty banged up. If I was older, this could have been a serious injury.

Should've gone with a different brand. I've owned these Vego Mid Leather Waterproof boots for a while now and regret the purchase. In the first few months, the fabric eyelets snapped off one after another. I had to fix them myself. Then several months later, the seam on the inside edge of the leather started coming apart. Now water is leaking in through the tear on both boots.

Terrible support here. We ordered a pair of shoes and within two months the sole detached. Never had this happen before. When we asked about a replacement, they refused. This is unacceptable and we won't be purchasing from Merrell anymore.

Really disappointed with how this situation turned out. Ordered boots that came with defects, so they sent replacements which also had problems. They asked me to return everything for my money back, and I did, sending proof of shipment. Now they keep giving me the runaround about my refund of over one hundred seventy dollars. It's been months now with no payment. Customer service was nice before I sent the boots back, but now they just ignore me completely. Would give zero stars if possible.

Purchased some boots that aggravated my achilles tendon and caused a lot of discomfort. The shoes themselves were fine, they just weren't the right fit for my feet. I contacted Merrell and they replaced them super quickly with a different shoe that I chose. Their customer service is top notch.

Got myself a pair of Merrell Sport Low GTX for hiking and wow, they're the most comfortable shoes I've worn. I usually go for different brands, but these absolutely blow them away in comfort. I could literally walk all day without any issues.

Honestly, these are the best shoes I've ever owned, period. Every November I get new boots or shoes to carry me through the winter months. Most of them are pretty worn out by the following year. I spend good money on them and wear them constantly at work where I'm on my feet ten to twelve hours a day. My feet have bone spurs that cause real pain by the time I get home. But these boots? They're insanely comfortable and barely show any wear. Nothing has ever performed this well for me. I'd buy another pair right now if I could find one.

Can't say enough good things about their customer support. My Moab GTX walking shoes started splitting open after about a year, so I reached out to Merrell with some pictures. Even though my warranty had expired, they were really apologetic and let me pick out a replacement pair of shoes from their entire lineup up to a certain price point. It was way more generous than I expected. The shoes themselves had some quality concerns, but honestly their after-purchase support is second to none.

These Merrell Moabs low hiking shoes are fantastic. They're honestly the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever owned. I wear them on easier trails around here plus around town throughout the whole year, and they've held up great for years until I grabbed some Merrell winter boots recently. Love those too. Just ordered the new Moab 2 ventilators since my original pair finally gave out after all that use.

I'm absolutely in love with my Merrell women's Moabs, hands down the best hiking boots I've ever had. I'm on my second pair and have stuck with Merrell for years now. They're my top choice whenever I need solid hiking or walking gear. These boots have taken a beating from me since August. I wear them almost every single day in all kinds of weather for trail walking, dog walking, and farm chores. Took them on some walking adventures out east and felt totally secure navigating rocky terrain and narrow paths even when wet. After a year of that kind of use, the waterproofing around the toes isn't holding up anymore, though I've never reapplied any treatment to them. One quirk is that the right boot clicks and pops with each step, like there's air trapped inside. Started out annoying but it wasn't enough to send them back. I'm getting ready to order another pair soon.
