Pat McGrath Reviews
Pat McGrath is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 15 shoppers, with a highly polarized rating distribution. Negative reviews dominate, with shoppers reporting severe issues across customer service, product quality, and order fulfillment. Common complaints include unresponsive support teams, orders that fail to ship or arrive, difficulty obtaining refunds or replacements, and product quality control problems such as crumbling pressed powders and inconsistent foundation formulations. Several reviewers describe experiences taking months to resolve without satisfactory outcomes, and some report feeling dismissed or disrespected by in-store staff.
The smaller proportion of five-star reviews suggests some shoppers do find value in Pat McGrath products, though positive feedback is largely absent from the available review excerpts. For potential customers, the overwhelming consensus points to significant concerns about the company's operational reliability and commitment to customer service, with shoppers recommending alternatives like Amazon or other retailers that offer more responsive support and clearer return policies.
Placed an order and it never shipped. I can't get anyone at the company to respond to my emails. Tried asking to cancel but didn't get any confirmation back either. Total mess.
Really let down by their support team and how long everything takes. My order got held up and UPS messed up, but the company took zero responsibility. I'm sending everything back unopened. Skip this store and go with Amazon or anywhere with actual customer service. Their return policy is sketchy and I'm worried the whole process will be a nightmare.
Terrible experience with their customer service. I had issues with 3 lipsticks that had defective packaging and sent photos plus reached out multiple times. The support was just as bad. This whole situation dragged on for 4 months and never got resolved. Just awful all around.
The pressed powder is really disappointing. For what you pay, they crumble completely and I've had to replace my carpet twice from spillage. The foundation has a weird runny consistency that goes everywhere. At these price points, I can't keep buying this. There's definitely a quality control problem and honestly the influencers promoting these products aren't telling the full story because they want to stay on the PR list.
Went to the counter at a department store to check out their eyeshadow options. Asked a staff member for help and if he could do a quick application on me, but he was incredibly dismissive. I felt like he didn't think I was worth his time just because of how I look. Really unprofessional and it felt discriminatory, which is ironic given what the founder has done for representation in the beauty industry.
Had to order from Canada using a mail forwarding service, which meant the product took way too long to arrive. When it finally got here, I was past the 30-day window. The item wasn't working properly so I reached out to support, but they flat out refused to help. I even asked about returning an unopened product and got denied because we were just slightly over their cutoff date. Really poor support and the product itself was defective. Not happy with how this turned out.
My order sat for 13 days without shipping. When I tried contacting them about it, they never got back to me. Then suddenly I got a refund with absolutely no explanation. Their customer service is honestly terrible and this whole thing was a waste of my time. Don't bother ordering from here.
Lucky I only spent a little, but this company won't reply and my order still hasn't shown up weeks later. Really shocking considering how easy it is for unhappy customers to call them out on social media. Just shocking service.
Thought shopping from the US would be expensive and slow since I'm in the UK. Turns out I was totally wrong. Put in my order Thursday night and it was at my place by Monday afternoon with DHL, zero shipping cost. Amazing service. The kohl eyeliner is seriously fantastic. Will buy from them again for sure.
Being based in the UK, I figured ordering from a US company would cost me a fortune and take forever to get here. Boy was I wrong! Placed my order on a Thursday night and it showed up at my door Monday afternoon via DHL with zero shipping costs. This company really went above and beyond. Plus, that kohl eyeliner they sent? Incredible quality. Definitely ordering again.
Took advantage of a sale since prices were way better than UK retailers. Gotta admit, after reading the reviews here I was pretty anxious. But my order turned out perfect. Placed it Wednesday evening, showed up Monday via DHL. Only took 5 days, free shipping to the UK, plus no surprise customs charges like they said. Everything packed really well and in great shape. Will definitely shop with them again.
Caught an amazing sale price and ordered online, though I got nervous reading some of the negative reviews here. Turns out my experience was great. Ordered Wednesday evening and got it through DHL by Monday, which is only 5 days to the UK and completely free shipping. Got the complimentary customs handling too, everything came safe and beautifully packaged. Happy to order from them again.
Sent back 4 items worth about 168 pounds but the company claims they never got my return shipment and won't process my refund. Their customer service is basically just automated responses which is incredibly annoying. I used to be a loyal customer who bought all the time, but now I'm frustrated. Also misleading that you order from a UK site but have to ship returns back to the USA at a huge cost. Probably won't order again after this hassle.
Honestly surprised by how many bad reviews are out there. I've purchased four times and had no problems whatsoever. All items arrived and shipping to the UK has always been quick. Haven't had to contact their customer support, so can't speak to that side of things.
Grabbed several items over three weeks during the holiday sales. Each order came with a confirmation email that explained they were swamped with volume and might have delays up to two weeks. Everything actually arrived in about a week, which beat expectations. No issues whatsoever. The packaging was gorgeous and the products showed up exactly as they should have.
