TSC (The Shopping Channel) Canada Reviews
TSC Canada's ratings are polarized, with shoppers either very satisfied or quite dissatisfied. Positive reviewers praise fast shipping (sometimes arriving within 2 days), careful packaging, competitive pricing on electronics like AirPods, and flexible payment options such as 12-month plans. However, a substantial portion of negative reviews center on defective products (particularly electronics with battery or connectivity issues), unclear return policies, and unresponsive customer service when attempting to resolve warranty claims or returns. Several shoppers reported purchasing AirPods that failed to work properly, and others have expressed frustration with warranty claims going unanswered and strict return deadlines that don't account for shipping delays.
The store appears to carry beauty products, health devices, and consumer electronics, but shoppers have raised concerns about product quality control and the reliability of advertised warranties. Return policy enforcement seems rigid, with representatives reportedly unwilling to accommodate reasonable circumstances such as delays from Canada Post. Those who have had smooth transactions tend to be very satisfied, but those facing defective items or return complications report poor support and feel let down by the experience.
I'm really upset that TSC carries products from a company selling items with known defects. They advertised a lifetime warranty on the channel but the company never answers anyone trying to use it. The products have a documented battery issue that I ran into myself. I contacted them in September about my neck LED light, face mask, and EMS device I'd bought - spent over $1200 total. They said their tech team was setting up a registration system and promised to mail me a replacement. That was months ago. It's now February and I've reached out like 5 more times and keep getting ignored and blocked. I've tried messaging and commenting on their Instagram reminding them about our agreement to send a new device. I shouldn't even need the warranty since the product stopped working after one week but here we are.
TSC's return policy is confusing and unclear. I got an item January 10th and returned it February 2nd. They have 30 days from receipt but the rep I talked to was really unhelpful and wouldn't listen to me. She said if the package doesn't arrive by February 10th, no refund happens, and there are no exceptions - like it's my fault if Canada Post is slow delivering it back. Those $160 pillows were the most uncomfortable I've ever owned. The vendor should be embarrassed selling pillows at that price with such poor quality. TSC needs to actually check the quality of products they're selling. Definitely won't be ordering again.
Super straightforward experience. I ordered a moisturizer and it showed up in about 2 days, way faster than expected. Everything was carefully wrapped and didn't get damaged in shipping. Would definitely order from them again.
Writing this because people only seem to review when things go wrong, but I had a great experience. Bought AirPods 4 on a 12 month payment plan which is awesome. Serial number checked out, quality is solid, paired right up, everything's perfect. Really happy with this purchase.
I'd have second thoughts buying electronics from TSC. Purchased AirPods 3rd Gen on December 8th as a Christmas present for my son. Order came through quickly and had everything. Christmas Day we tried pairing them and they wouldn't work with any of our Apple devices. After trying all the usual fixes, we headed to the Apple Store. Found out the warranty was already done on these new AirPods because they were actually sold at Walmart in Washington in November 2024, way before they came to me. TSC seems to be selling used or defective products with dead warranties but marketing them as brand new. We're trying to get our money back but TSC isn't helpful and the return process is unclear with no way to check status online.
Wouldn't suggest buying electronics from TSC. I got AirPods 3rd Gen on December 8th as a Christmas present for my boy. It arrived quickly with everything included. We tried pairing them on Christmas and they wouldn't connect to any of our Apple devices. After trying everything we could find online, we went to the Apple Store. That's when we learned the manufacturer warranty had already expired on these supposedly brand new AirPods - they were originally sold at a Walmart in Washington back in November 2024, not brand new at all. TSC appears to be selling returned or defective items with expired warranties as new merchandise. We're working on getting a refund but TSC's customer support is really weak and the return process has zero transparency with no online tracking.
Purchased a ring and earrings from TSC to give as a wedding gift. They said it would arrive early January. Starting from late December, total silence. No tracking info, no updates at all. Tried their online chat and the rep just told me to wait longer then bailed. Called customer service, waited over half an hour, and was told they can't help or speed anything up and I need to wait even longer. This shouldn't happen with what TSC charges and claims to be. I still have no idea where my order is and had to buy another gift because nobody would help. Then there's the return charges on top of everything, which is insulting given how bad the service was. Super stressful and disappointing. Skip TSC if you're on a timeline or expect any real customer support.
I bought a ring and earrings from TSC as a wedding gift. The estimated delivery was supposed to be early January. From late December onward, nothing - no tracking updates, no notifications whatsoever. I tried the online chat and the person basically told me to wait and then closed the chat on me. Called customer service next and waited over 30 minutes just to speak to someone, who then said I had to wait even longer and they couldn't do anything to help or speed it up. This is really unacceptable for the price and what TSC claims to be. I still don't know if it's coming and had to buy a replacement gift because no one would give me answers. On top of everything, TSC charges return fees which just adds insult to injury given how terrible the service was. Really frustrating all around. I wouldn't suggest shopping here, especially if you're on a deadline or expecting decent customer service.
Honestly shocked at how many bad reviews there are because my experience has been fantastic! I've done big orders the last few holidays and couldn't be happier. I've stuck to big name electronics like Dyson straighteners, iPads, Meta headsets and such, so maybe that's why I haven't had issues. Their pay over time plan is fantastic too. Totally satisfied and will be ordering again.
I bought an item on sale in late November and got a backorder notice. I checked the website around Christmas and saw the exact same model and color actually in stock. Finally got through to someone on Friday and sent them screenshots proving availability. 20 minutes into the call, it suddenly switched to out of stock. The rep tells me 'that shows unavailable on my end, you should check your screen again.' She insisted it was backordered with no restocking date, so I cancelled. Two days later I check again and it's available at full price. Pretty sure they were fibbing about the backorder so I wouldn't get the sale price, since it was a killer deal.
Ordered from TSC and it's been a nightmare from day one. Never got my item and I paid over $700 including shipping. They claim a trace shows it was delivered to a different town. I've called multiple times and they did two traces but refuse to refund me even with proof from the shipping company showing it went to the wrong address. It's basically fraud at this point. How is TSC still operating when so many people report the same problems? I'm out $700 and have nothing to show for it. Absolutely terrible business practices. Don't order from them.
Boots I ordered were way too small so I got my regular size, but turns out they're European sizing and there's nothing on the site telling you that. Had to order a bigger pair. When I called about returning the first ones, they wanted to charge me $6.99 for an exchange. Then they wanted another $6.99 to send back the new pair if I wanted to exchange again. No other company does that. Pretty disappointed with how they handled everything.
Ordered a Blue Jays jersey, tried it on once and it was too small so I ordered the next size up. Sent back the first one but they denied my refund saying it looked worn, which is completely wrong - I barely wore it. Now I have to pay $15 to get it sent back so maybe I can give it away. My worry is that they'll just send me back some old jersey they have lying around instead of the clean one I mailed them, and they'll resell mine.
Overall it's a mix of good and bad. The selection is solid - there's stuff you can't find anywhere else - but there are some serious issues. Customer service is basically nonexistent, there's no email listed, and calling gets you stuck on hold forever. Shipping is terrible too. Purolator and Canada Post do most of their deliveries and those are hands down the slowest carriers in Canada. Faster options exist that cost the same or less. Getting packages weeks later is not okay anymore. Plus items sell on their TV channel but then show backordered for 2-3 weeks or more, which makes zero sense if they're live selling it. That said, refunds haven't been a problem for me when I've returned stuff - it's been free and quick. Just wish the TV hosts were more honest about products online instead of overselling everything so much.
The selection here is pretty unique and you can't find these products everywhere, but there are some real problems. First off, customer service is lacking hard - no email contact listed anywhere, and calling means long hold times. Delivery is rough too. They use Purolator and Canada Post a lot, which honestly are the slowest services in Canada. Other delivery companies are way faster and usually cheaper. Taking a week or more to get packages in 2024 is ridiculous. Also, items show up on their TV channel live but then they're backordered for 2-3 weeks or longer - doesn't make sense if they're actively selling it on air. On the bright side, returns and refunds have been straightforward and free when I've needed them. The TV hosts aren't always truthful about what they're selling online either, they get way too hyped up about stuff.
