I was really let down when I found out the items I bought couldn't be returned, even though they didn't fit right at all. This experience made it clear I won't be coming back to this store.

Appleseeds takes forever to get items out the door. Once it arrives, you're paying $10 for shipping plus extra fees. If something doesn't fit and you want to return it, there's another $10 charge. So basically you're out $20 or more for nothing. Customer service lines have you waiting an hour minimum, and when someone picks up it's usually an overseas rep who can't actually solve your problem. I wasted hours on the phone trying to fix things and just kept running into more issues with no real help. Do not order from this place.

If you call their customer service department prepare to hold for well over an hour, assuming anyone picks up at all. I ordered something and tried to cancel it after a week had gone by, but they wouldn't let me because it was supposedly getting ready to ship. A week! Just avoid doing business with them altogether.

Ordered in early 2025 and had to send it back due to sizing issues. The company told me the item was clearance merchandise so no exchanges were possible and they'd refund the original amount. That was weeks ago and I still haven't seen that money. I've called multiple times but keep getting connected with offshore representatives who can't actually help me resolve anything. Their gift-giving process is a nightmare. When you send a present to someone else, the return and exchange policies become incredibly complicated. The recipient can't just get a discounted item if something's on sale when they exchange it; they're stuck paying full price. Plus there's a $10 charge for the return label that cuts into your refund. And good luck getting consistent information from customer service about how everything works, because different reps will tell you different things. The actual clothing quality is fine, but the whole returns experience is so frustrating that it makes you regret buying from them in the first place.

Ordered three pairs of shoes and everything went smoothly. They got to me quickly and the packaging was super careful. Definitely will place another order with them.

I ordered something on November 22 and chose standard shipping that was supposed to be 8-10 days. I thought that would be plenty of time to have it before a December 8 event. The problem is Appleseeds doesn't start counting that time period when you place the order; they count it from whenever they decide to actually ship it out, which ended up being December 1. By the time it arrived it was basically just in time. If this is mentioned anywhere, it should be way more obvious to customers before they buy.

Really impressive quality and selection. I thought I'd never track down corduroys with that slightly slimmed-down fit, but they had exactly what I was looking for.

Watch out for this company. They use coupons to trick you into signing up for their VIP membership without your knowledge, then they charge your card $14.97 every month indefinitely. I've been getting charged for years without any actual benefits in return and had no idea until I finally checked my statements. I'm looking into legal action to see how they've been able to get away with this without clear consent. Anyone else been through this should consider joining a class action lawsuit.

I sent back something worth $43 and only got $23 back as a refund. When I asked why the difference was so large, they said $6.99 was for shipping costs. That still doesn't explain where the other $20 went. Something doesn't add up here.

Be aware of their shipping fees. You get free shipping when you buy, but if you return something you're paying shipping both ways, plus a $9 fee just for their return label. I sent back a $115 item and only got $86 back. Their customer service wasn't helpful when I called about it either.
