Choice Hotels Savings Hacks
Hotel room rates typically drop mid-week. Compare prices across Monday through Thursday to find the lowest base rates before applying any promo code.
Choice Hotels members may access exclusive rates through their loyalty program, which can sometimes be combined with or offer better savings than standalone promo codes.
Offers rotate frequently through affiliate programs. Return to RetailCoupons.com often to catch new deals as soon as they become available.
Extended stay bookings sometimes qualify for special promotional rates; check if bundling multiple nights yields better per-night pricing than single-night codes.
Choice Hotels Shipping Policy
As a hotel chain, Econo Lodge does not ship physical products. Guests receive accommodations upon arrival at their chosen property, and room charges are typically processed at check-in or in advance when booking online.
Choice Hotels Returns & Refund Policy
Hotel bookings are governed by the cancellation policy displayed at the time of reservation. Most properties allow free cancellation within a certain period before arrival, though policies vary by location and booking type. Review your specific property's cancellation terms in your confirmation email.

Choice Hotels Reviews
Choice Hotels properties show a polarized pattern in customer experiences, rated 2.6 out of 5 by 22 shoppers. Satisfied guests praise exceptional front desk service, clean rooms with new appliances, included continental breakfast, and convenient locations near dining options. However, the majority of reviews report serious property maintenance issues including dirty rooms, damaged furniture, stains on bedding, water damage, pest problems, and unpleasant odors. Additionally, customers report significant pricing discrepancies between online quotes and final bills, with some facing charges three to four times higher than advertised rates, along with frustrations over refund policies and inconsistent booking practices across locations.
Management responsiveness appears inconsistent across different properties. While some guests experienced attentive and helpful staff, others reported cold interactions and inadequate responses to cleanliness complaints, with offered compensation far below the severity of the issues. The disparity in experiences suggests quality control varies significantly by location, and transparency around final pricing remains a persistent concern for potential guests.
Total waste of time. Broken door locks, filthy room and bathroom. The only decent things were the clean sheets and towels. Found bugs crawling around the room multiple times.
Stayed in Boaz and was really pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff were fantastic. They even offered to carry my bags in. Rick was helpful and genuinely kind. Continental breakfast was included and they had waffles. My room was pristine with brand new appliances. The place was quiet and calm. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Overall a really nice experience.
Online pricing showed between $79 and $121 but my actual bill came to $380 with fees. Completely unacceptable for what I got. The room was disgusting. Sheets had stains on them, lampshades were grimy and obviously hadn't been cleaned in forever. There's no way that room was worth $380 for one night. I'd love to hear what the management has to say about this.
The management at the Lee location was terrible. The manager was incredibly cold and unfriendly to us. Not going back and would advise looking for somewhere else to stay.
The Christiansburg property is filthy, plain and simple. I stayed there and my room was gross. There was water damage, a bad smell, and actual blood stains on the blanket. Called to complain and didn't even get an apology. They offered a measly 25% refund for blood on bedding - that deserves 100%. Called the main office and got offered points that don't even cover one night. Go somewhere else. This is unacceptable and should be way better. Would give zero stars if I could.
They won't book rooms for local residents and then refuse refunds. I booked through discount travel sites and none of them will help. The hotel flat out won't give me a room because I live in the area, but they're also saying my money is non-refundable. It's been three weeks of going back and forth. These are straight up scammers. Someone needs to return my cash.
My car broke down while I was driving through Mississippi. A sign pointed me toward Gulf Springs and after stopping at a diner I called around for a place to stay. One chain said they didn't open till 9 AM even though it was an emergency. The Econo Lodge answered and was super helpful. They got me and my pup inside out of the weather when we had nowhere else to go. My health issues would have made that really rough otherwise. Stayed two nights and everything's brand new since they just opened. Prices are very reasonable. Really grateful for them.
Convenient location right off the interstate. Pets seem to stay free which is great. They do price matching which saved me cash. The crew really makes an effort to help with whatever you need. Security cameras all around so you feel safe even in the parking lot late at night.
Been staying here a while now. Initial thoughts were pretty negative about how run down everything looked. Lately though, they've really stepped up their game. They cleared out the unregistered people hanging around at night, the team is friendlier, and the property looks so much better overall.
My son and I spent the weekend here and I was blown away by how the staff treated him given his special needs. He can be tough to handle sometimes because of his autism, but the crew including Jessica and manager Tracy went absolutely above and beyond. They made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Around 6 in the morning a housekeeper actually brought breakfast to our room. These folks really made my son feel valued and taken care of. We're definitely coming back.
Pretty decent spot if you're just passing through. Nothing special, and the rates are on the steep side, but it gets the job done.
Great breakfast to start your day. Check-in was fast and painless. The staff are genuinely nice people. The pool and hot tub are fantastic. Would tell anyone thinking about staying here to go for it.
This experience was absolutely terrible. Booked a room for my son and his dog who'd been driving all day to get across provinces. His drive got blocked by police due to a serious highway accident near Nipigon, and he found a room there instead. I immediately called to cancel and the staff basically blew me off. When I tried to talk it through they just shut me down. I sent an email to the corporate office looking for help but got told to deal with the hotel since they're franchises. Lost $150 and I'm advising everyone to skip the Thunder Bay location and honestly to reconsider doing business with this chain altogether.
Book through other sites, not that platform. Stayed at the Biltmore location in Asheville and it was gross. Dirty beds, filthy furniture, broken door frames, and they were doing construction right outside with all the noise. I couldn't stay in those conditions. They won't give my money back and the booking site isn't helping either.
Stayed at the Greensboro location on Seneca and it's the filthiest place I've ever been in. First room they showed us had a torn bedspread and smelled like old smoke. The second room had three pillows and one didn't even have a case. Roaches were everywhere and I barely slept because I was freaked out. The whole area seemed run down. I was nervous about leaving my car alone. Couldn't wait for morning to get out of there.
