What Shoppers Say About Papa Murphy’s International
Papa Murphy's International is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 6 shoppers, with a substantial divide between positive and negative experiences. Shoppers who enjoyed their purchases praise the quality of the pizzas themselves, noting that toppings are generous and ingredients are fresh, and they appreciate the cook-at-home concept. However, the majority of reviews cite serious operational and service issues, including orders not being ready at pickup despite advance payment, inconsistent food quality (such as pizzas arriving with significantly fewer toppings than ordered), staff indifference to customer concerns, and management problems at franchise locations ranging from unprofessional behavior to reported concerns about substance abuse at work.
Recurring complaints also include changes to menu offerings (such as the discontinuation of original Italian sausage), difficulty with coupon redemption policies, and inconsistent franchise compliance with corporate standards. Several shoppers expressed that service and operational failures have deterred them from returning, despite acknowledging the potential quality of the product itself.

Sorted by: Most recentI ordered a pizza online and paid with my credit card, then drove to the store to pick it up. When I got there, my order wasn't ready and the staff member basically shrugged it off like it was my problem. I could only give one star because the system wouldn't let me rate it any lower.
Their pizzas are really good and I appreciate that you can bake them fresh at home. They always load them up with quality toppings and get the ingredients just right.
The management at this location is a major problem. The manager doesn't do her job, nothing gets accomplished, and there are serious concerns about substance abuse happening at work. She's frequently sleeping in the back instead of managing, gives free food to friends, and creates constant inventory shortages. Her unprofessional attitude with yelling and swearing makes it stressful for everyone else working there. It's frustrating to deal with this level of mismanagement.
We ordered two stuffed pizzas on Christmas Eve for a family gathering and had a major disappointment. One pizza came out right with toppings both on top and inside, but the second one was basically just sauce and crust. There was barely any cheese, pepperoni, or mushrooms on it. The quality was so bad that I won't be ordering from there again.
Had a terrible experience with a franchise location in Sparks, Nevada. The owner/manager refused to accept a legitimate coupon that had no expiration date and was incredibly rude about it. The corporate office should really make sure these franchise operators are following policies because one bad location reflects poorly on the whole brand.
