What Shoppers Say About NeweggBusiness
NeweggBusiness.com receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 77 percent of reviews rating it one star. Recurring complaints center on receiving damaged or incomplete items, particularly open-box merchandise with missing components; unacceptable return windows that customers report as inflexible even when delays are beyond their control; high return shipping costs that make returns financially impractical; and unresponsive or dismissive customer service. Several reviewers contrast their poor business division experience with positive experiences on Newegg's consumer site, suggesting the business platform has distinct operational issues.
The small percentage of shoppers who rate the site favorably (8 percent five-star reviews) are vastly outnumbered by dissatisfied customers. Beyond product quality concerns, reviewers cite pricing that is higher than comparable options, inventory management problems that result in late cancellations, and an overall lack of willingness from support staff to resolve disputes or offer remediation. Shoppers consistently state they cannot recommend this platform and report abandoning it after negative experiences.

Sorted by: Most recentIt seems Newegg gets rid of returned merchandise by selling it through this business site as open-box items. I bought an open-box motherboard after checking their return policy, which stated a 30-day window for returns. When the board arrived, three large components were completely gone and several required cables were missing, making it impossible to use. I contacted support right away. After a month of back and forth across multiple departments, they refused to refund me or fix the situation by sending the missing parts. That's when they showed me the fine print they have specifically for open box items: basically saying the company guarantees only that you receive the item, accessories may or may not be there, and they won't provide missing pieces even if you need them to use the product. So they can send you incomplete hardware and keep your money. This is how Newegg avoids disposal fees while profiting off merchandise they can't sell normally.
I went through the hassle of opening a NET30 business account since I do computer repair work. Just to be clear this is specifically about their business division. On the consumer side I've never had any issues and consistently give them five stars. I used their business site years back but stopped because of multiple problems. Prices are higher on the business side compared to the consumer side. Shipping takes longer. And items are constantly out of stock on the business side while being readily available on the consumer version. I left and never looked back. Total waste of effort.
I needed to return a faulty hard drive. When the replacement also turned out to be bad, I requested a refund instead. Unfortunately the drive was in transit longer than expected and by the time I went to send it back, I'd passed the 30 day window. How is that acceptable? To make things worse, the support person barely answered my questions and didn't even use a real name. Compare that to regular Newegg support and it's night and day. Skip this entirely. Honestly Newegg should shut down the Business side because it's damaging their reputation.
Absolutely terrible. I ordered some paper products and disinfecting wipes. The wipes cost $6.99 but what arrived was barely anything. When I tried to return them I was told it would cost $7.50 to ship back. Adding insult to injury these wipes were manufactured in China. Not satisfied.
My processor order took way too long to arrive and when it finally showed up, the cooling solution included wasn't suitable for the unit at all. This was a terrible experience overall. When I asked if they could offer any credit toward purchasing the correct cooler, they refused. Can't recommend this website to anyone.
I bought a graphics card on December 4th and got an email on December 18th saying it was out of stock and being refunded. I was furious they waited over two weeks to tell me this, especially so close to Christmas! When I told them I wouldn't shop there again their response was basically 'too bad.'
Be careful with this site. It's actually a separate operation from the regular Newegg website you know. After looking around more carefully, I noticed some sketchy details that made me realize something wasn't right here. This doesn't appear to be the legitimate Newegg platform.
Placed an order for an Intel LGA1150 motherboard and waited two weeks before finding out it got cancelled. The worst part? Nobody from the company bothered to keep me in the loop or check on what their third party supplier was doing. I only discovered the cancellation when I reached out asking for an update myself. That same day they just said it was cancelled and that was it. No apology, no alternative options, no compensation whatsoever. I'm confused how this is supposed to serve businesses when time sensitivity matters. Those two weeks cost me, so I ended up ordering from Amazon instead and had it the next day. Very disappointed with how this was handled from start to finish.
One day my business qualifies for tax exemption and the next day it doesn't, even though I've submitted a valid state tax exemption certificate. Customer service is hit or miss depending on who answers your call. Rather than keep wasting time going back and forth with them on this, I just took my business elsewhere. Problem solved and much simpler now.
This place is terrible. It's a completely separate business from the regular Newegg site. They won't honor the same promotional codes, products cost more here, and there's basically nothing that encourages switching over. The real kicker is once you convert your account you're locked in and can't switch back, which means you lose access to your email for logging in. An employee talked me into making the switch and I've regretted it ever since. I won't be ordering from NewEgg Business again, and honestly I'm so frustrated I'm probably done with Newegg altogether. That's a loss of significant annual spending.
