Sorted by: Most recentFound out my order was on automatic renewal without my approval. I called to stop it and they said they'd put in a cancellation request. Minutes later they call back saying they can't cancel since they already shipped it. But looking at the tracking, UPS hasn't received the package yet and the label was just created after my cancellation call. They have a no returns policy on vaccines, so they intentionally ship after you request cancellation to lock you into the purchase with zero way to get out of it. Shady tactics like this are exactly what I'm reporting to consumer watchdog sites.
I've ordered from Jeffers multiple times with mostly okay experiences except for one consistent problem: the shipping is incredibly slow. Count on waiting at least two weeks before it even leaves their warehouse. Their website keeps mentioning shipping delays from weather across the country, which is funny since UPS, FedEx, and the postal service haven't announced any of their own delays from those same storms.
For over two decades I've relied on Jeffers but I never thought I'd write a negative review. Unfortunately things have changed for the worse. The personal touch you get from a smaller company is what I loved, but they've lost that as they've gotten bigger. I paid more for expedited shipping on my most recent order. A week went by with no updates on the site, no emails, nothing. Today when it was supposed to arrive, I finally called and was told they had a shipping delay last week. That wording sounded like something out of their control, like a carrier issue, but after I kept asking questions the rep admitted in a flat voice that their warehouse was behind, not UPS. She couldn't promise it would even leave their facility today, tomorrow, or this week. I asked why they didn't tell me this when I placed the order or at any point during that week, especially since I paid extra for faster service.
Jeffers Pet is hands down the worst place to buy from. They have zero integrity as a business. First vaccine order was in May this year and I set up automatic reordering through their customer service team since I wanted to make sure it was done properly. Both shipments came hot and unusable. They told me to get an ice pack and send them back for a refund, which they did. I thought I'd give them another chance, big mistake. November shipment was fine but January didn't ship on the scheduled date. I called and they claimed it shipped on the 6th and said it would arrive by the 18th even though I paid for two day shipping. I told them this wasn't acceptable since the vaccines would spoil. They said they'd refund me but I had to return them. When they got here I rejected the package. Now I don't have the bad vaccines but I also never got my refund. This company is shady and dishonest.
Went to the physical location to grab one item. Only had a single person working the register, and I waited more than 15 minutes just standing there. Left without buying anything and decided to order from a different place online instead. Back when the founder was running things, you never dealt with waits like that.
Terrible customer service from this company. Tried placing a couple orders and they charge your card right away, but then take weeks before actually shipping anything. They don't respond to emails and getting someone on the phone is basically impossible.
Jeffers has gone downhill in a big way since being sold over a year ago. Customer service has gotten worse and prices have gotten really expensive.
Been a customer for years and used to think they were a solid company. Started an autoship for vaccines after my first order. After that, they switched to the slowest shipping option and instead of the soft padded cooler bag I paid for, they sent a thin piece of styrofoam. My vaccines arrived overheated and unusable. They flat out refused to make it right even though all the problems were on their end.
Ordered a couple fluvac 6 vaccines and two horse dewormers. Took forever to get here and when it arrived, the needle and plastic top were broken, making the whole thing useless. Called Jeffers about it. They apologized and said a replacement was coming. Weeks pass and I call again, get more apologies and promises about a replacement on the way. Then they call me back wanting to interrogate me about the item and saying they need to phone me to sort things out. I responded that I don't understand the issue here. Your company shipped a broken product, I've contacted customer service twice and been promised replacements both times, and you keep making excuses. I'm done ordering from you after all these years. A replacement shouldn't require multiple follow ups.
Got sent another customer's order by mistake, then they wanted me to ship it back before processing mine. My stuff didn't arrive for 10 extra days and only came ground shipping. Their shipping has been terrible for the last couple years. Won't recommend this place if you value getting your order quickly or getting the right items. Called customer service and had a really frustrating experience. One rep named Shania kept interrupting me and hung up when I tried to continue talking. When I called back asking for management, another rep accused me of cursing but refused to tell me what I supposedly said even after I asked three times. She also said they'd hold my order hostage until they got back the package they sent to me by accident. This company is completely incompetent.
