What Shoppers Say About Maggiano’s Little Italy
Maggiano's Little Italy receives sharply divided feedback from shoppers. Satisfied customers praise the restaurant for consistent food quality, attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, and strong value. They describe returning regularly and being impressed by the overall dining experience, particularly at certain locations like the Vegas fashion mall location.
Negative reviews highlight significant service lapses. Complaints include long waits despite empty dining rooms, staff inattentiveness after seating, and inconsistencies in food presentation details (such as pre-ground seasonings and frozen rolls served without proper accompaniments). One long-time regular noted a decline in standards at a Boston location despite 15 years of positive visits, suggesting possible operational inconsistency across locations.

Sorted by: Most recentWe're regulars at the Boston location, visiting from about 40 miles away whenever we're in town. For 15 years we've had great experiences there, but yesterday was disappointing. The lunch service started okay, though the salt and pepper were pre-ground instead of fresh cracked, and we had to request butter or oil to go with the frozen dinner rolls. My husband's Minestrone soup (only about 5oz for $11) came with his entree. He ordered the Shrimp Alfredo for $31, which unfortunately tasted like a flavorless watery white sauce with barely any cheese, and the shrimp were rubbery and bland despite being a small portion. My friend and I both ordered the lunch combo with caesar salad and half chicken parm sandwich. The salad was only a few bites of wilted, browning lettuce that looked like leftovers from the previous night. The sandwich was similarly tiny, featuring dry frozen-breaded chicken between three pieces of those same stale frozen rolls from earlier. The thick fries that came with it could have been passable, but they were covered in raw sesame seeds that weren't even toasted. We had to ask for ketchup and wait a while to get it.
Had a really frustrating experience with the management here. The hostess kept my family and me waiting for half an hour even though the place was basically empty. When we finally got seated, another 20 minutes went by with absolutely no one checking on us. I eventually went up to a waiter to find out who was supposed to be helping us, and he just shrugged and said he had no idea. We decided to leave without eating.
This place consistently delivers amazing dishes and the staff really knows how to treat customers right, which keeps us coming back.
