I can't afford to dump thousands into some fancy surveillance system. If you're a regular person looking for something mid-range, think twice about Lorex. They'll tell you your DVR is no longer supported even though the box says there's no reason it shouldn't work anymore.
Honestly, this has to be the worst video doorbell I've dealt with in years. Even with what they claim is the newest firmware installed, it barely picks up any motion and the alerts are basically useless. The notifications to my phone can take 5 minutes or longer to show up, sometimes not at all. My doorbell camera keeps dropping offline and I can't get it to stay connected. I tried reaching out through their app for technical support multiple times, but nothing happened. Eventually I had to email them, and they sent me a phone number to call. When I called, they asked a ton of questions about what I purchased and when. Then they asked for the serial number, which is on the back of the doorbell. I explained the camera is already mounted to my house. I asked if there was any other way to get that information since they obviously already know what I bought. Nope. Their answer is I have to take the whole thing off the wall, snap a photo of the serial number, and send it to them before they'll even try to help. It doesn't make sense to me why this info isn't already in their system. They've got all my personal details for billing purposes, but they somehow don't have a record of the product I purchased using my receipt number?
