Sorted by: Most recentHad a major problem with an e-gift card. Tried to use it for an order but their system wouldn't accept the PIN. Called customer service on September 19 to fix it. It didn't get resolved until November 20. That's over two months. I made numerous calls and sent multiple emails. During the first call I got a ticket number to reference but every single person I spoke to after that said the ticket didn't exist. Then they said the person I had spoken with didn't exist, or the gift card number didn't exist, or I was calling the wrong number and gave me the same number I was already calling. When I asked why, they gave me that same number again and then hung up. I called back less than a minute later and was told I didn't even exist in their system. They claimed the person who sent 10+ emails doesn't exist. Even a supervisor couldn't help, just repeated all the same nonsense. When I finally asked what gift card number they had on file, it wasn't even close to mine. Nobody could explain where they got that number.
Spent over $16 on a pair of pantyhose that claimed to have a control top. I got the right size for my weight but they kept falling down the whole way to where I was going. Control top? Yeah right. Back when these were $7 they at least had reinforced toes. They don't anymore. For a specialty plus size store, $16 is too much for something that doesn't work for the needs of plus size women. Don't waste your money.
Got excellent service at the store location, but everything fell apart when I placed an order for delivery. When they didn't have my size in stock, they promised there would be no problem getting it ordered and sent to my house even though I live two hours away. Since then it's been nothing but headaches. I never got my package and sent several emails trying to track it down, but got absolutely no responses. I'm frustrated that they offer online ordering but then don't actually manage it or reply to customers.
Do not order from their website. I made an error when placing my order and immediately tried to fix it less than 24 hours later, before it even shipped. I had one digit wrong in my address, which was totally my fault, but these things happen. Not at Penningtons, where they have zero tolerance for human mistakes. I looked for a cancellation option on PayPal, which Penningtons allows, but there's no such option through them. I emailed customer service right away and checked my account but couldn't find any way to change the address. I called as soon as they opened and was told there's absolutely nothing they can do once an order is placed. They acted like there's never a mistake in the world. It's completely unfriendly and unhelpful. The fact that I caught it within minutes should have made it fixable, but apparently not at this company.
Stopped by the store with my husband to look for bras and we were helped by Kim. She really went above and beyond to assist me. I ended up purchasing three bras and three pairs of panties. Kim was so funny and made the whole experience great. Thanks to Kim and Shelly too.
I buy a lot of t-shirts here but over the past year they've been developing tiny holes in the fabric. At first I thought my belt was causing it, so I stopped wearing one and got rid of that shirt. The holes kept appearing in brand new ones, even after just being washed twice. I checked both my washer and dryer to see if anything could snag the material. Nothing. Weird thing is my husband's clothes don't get holes and neither do my tops from other stores. So disappointing.
Placed items in my cart and the very next day, not even 24 hours later, the prices went down. Got a message saying they won't match the new lower price. I hadn't even gotten my items yet. Not shopping here again.
Never order anything online that isn't sold directly by Penningtons. Four weeks later and nothing arrived. Called customer service three times only to get put on hold and then have them hang up when they finally picked up. They couldn't help me, so I had to contact the third party seller instead. Worst customer service experience I've ever had.
This company stole my money. I ordered merchandise and they never sent it. Stay away from them.
Walked into the store with just an hour to spare after a rough hospital visit with my mom. I needed new pants and Cindy, who works at this location and has been there for years, was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, patient, had a great sense of humor, and gave honest advice. Her kindness really turned what was a stressful day into something much better. I'm so grateful for Cindy.
