What Shoppers Say About Seagateproducts
Seagate products receive polarized feedback from shoppers, with experiences split sharply between highly satisfied repeat customers and deeply frustrated first-time or recent buyers. Positive reviewers praise the company's customer service, product quality, and reliable delivery, with some reporting years of successful use. However, negative reviews highlight serious concerns: hardware failures during critical data transfers, compatibility issues with newer operating systems, customer support described as nonexistent, and warranty coverage disputes where drives failed shortly after purchase despite advertised protection periods.
The most common complaint involves product reliability, with shoppers reporting devices that malfunction during important tasks and inadequate support when issues arise. Warranty-related problems also emerge as a recurring issue, with at least one reviewer discovering their coverage had expired before the purchase date. While some customers demonstrate strong brand loyalty, the high proportion of one-star ratings suggests that product failures and customer service gaps represent significant pain points for a substantial portion of buyers.

Sorted by: Most recentAbsolutely do not buy this! I purchased a Seagate Expansion Desktop 20TB external hard drive to store video files from my clients and personal projects dating back several years. The third time I tried transferring data, it stopped at 90% and the whole device locked up. I sent it back under the data recovery service and waited five weeks only to be told they couldn't recover anything. It's insane that they sold me a broken product and then couldn't help me get my files back. Skip this entirely if you value your data. Not worth the risk.
I'm done with Seagate. My computer crashed during a Windows 11 installation, and once I got a new PC with Windows 11, I couldn't get my backup hub working anymore. Customer support was basically nonexistent. Total nightmare and I won't be buying from them again.
Got a 5TB Seagate hard drive in early 2022 that cost me quite a bit. According to what they advertised, I should have had two years of coverage. My drive died in late 2023, so I checked the warranty status using the serial number. Turns out it was already expired since October 2021, which is literally months before I even bought the thing. How is it legal to advertise a two year warranty, let you buy and register the product, then tell you the warranty already ran out based on the manufacture date? My two year protection ended seven months before my purchase. Seagate won't help and won't refund me. There was never any actual coverage. Used to prefer them over other brands, but not anymore. This is false advertising and terrible customer service. I'm taking legal action because this violates consumer protection laws. What a pathetic company with pathetic support.
Seagate is fantastic! I've been a customer for years and keep coming back. Their products are really excellent and the customer service team always takes great care of me.
I've been buying from this company for years after discovering them through a health show I watched. They're a smaller operation but their customer service really stands out. Everything arrives fresh and on time, and the products do exactly what they're supposed to. They're smart about not making health claims, which keeps things above board, and instead focus on explaining how each product is processed. I had no idea you could get freeze dried broccoli in capsule form until I found them, and it's perfect for when I travel. They run sales regularly and you can get email notifications. I appreciate that they focus on a few quality items rather than stocking a huge catalog of stuff that doesn't work. Only thing I'd love to see is olive leaf available in powder form too, not just capsules. Everything comes freeze dried which is top notch quality. You really can't do better than what they offer.
