I asked for a replacement and they said they'd send one, but while assembling I spotted two more dented pieces including another door and the bottom panel. I shouldn't need to inspect everything with extreme care. The packing clearly wasn't adequate with not enough protective foam in two separate boxes. This whole purchase has been inconvenient and frustrating. I would happily pay more for items that arrive in decent condition.
They advertised two day shipping but it ended up taking five days to get to me. When I complained they explained that two days was just for filling the order and then three days for actual shipping. Either way I didn't get what I paid for with the two day option. Customer service was completely unsympathetic and told me I should have read the fine print on their site.
The products are reasonably priced and decent quality, but the customer support leaves a lot to be desired. Communication seems to be a real problem. I sent multiple detailed emails with photos asking for a power supply replacement on a desk, but they shipped the wrong part twice. After the second wrong part, they closed the ticket saying they'd already given me what I asked for. The actual cabinet itself would be five stars, but the company is a different story. I bought one for my son directly from Seville for almost 280 dollars. Three weeks later I spot the exact same cabinet at a warehouse club for 200 bucks. I figured they'd give me a price adjustment since it was within a month of purchase, but nope. They don't match that retailer's prices. Apparently they can sell to big retailers at lower prices but won't match those prices for individual customers. When I asked about returning it, they said I'd pay the shipping and get hit with a 20 percent restocking charge on top of that. It's still sitting in the box unopened and I feel totally ripped off. Lesson learned: compare prices everywhere before buying from them. They'd rather sell cheaper to vendors than to regular customers. Most other companies would match a sale price if you caught it this quickly.
I'm really satisfied with my whole experience here. The products are made well and if anything does go wrong they fully back what they sell. Not sure what more a company could offer.
The build quality feels cheap and the manufacturing is subpar. Mine came damaged right out of the box with dented panels and no apparent quality control on the factory end. Some of the rivet nuts weren't crimped properly so screws wouldn't tighten or loosen correctly. The one thing going for it is that the assembly instructions were pretty clear.
Grabbed a three-tier steel storage bin and during assembly one of the spot welds on the middle tier just came loose. The instructions said to get in touch with the manufacturer so I did that same day. It's been weeks now with absolutely no response. The bin's sitting in pieces and I needed it immediately. Seville Classics dropped the ball by ignoring my request and their welds on these things are just poorly done.
Got a tool chest and found some components missing when I opened it. Sent them an email with the model and part numbers and they got right back to me. Within a week the missing pieces showed up at my door. Sure it was annoying that parts were missing in the first place but the quick response and hassle-free replacement made it easy to overlook. Really happy doing business with this company.
