RAINTREE NURSERY Reviews
What Shoppers Say About RAINTREE NURSERY
Raintree Nursery shoppers praise the quality of the plants themselves and the nursery's excellent selection of specialty fruit trees and varieties that are difficult to find elsewhere. Customers report that plants arrive well-protected and healthy, with established specimens continuing to thrive after purchase. However, one reviewer experienced significant frustration with customer service, noting that when a Pawpaw arrived damaged, the nursery was unable to offer a replacement due to stock limitations. This is particularly problematic for plants like Pawpaws that require cross-pollination, making a damaged specimen a costly loss for the customer.
The main tension in reviews centers on the nursery's handling of shipping damage and customer service responsiveness. While most customers are satisfied with product quality and willing to overlook shipping delays, the lack of replacement options for damaged plants appears to be a notable gap in their support process. Shoppers considering Raintree should weigh the exceptional plant selection and quality against the risk of limited recourse if items arrive damaged.

Sorted by: Most recentWhat an amazing first experience ordering fruit trees online! I decided to place orders with two different nurseries to get a wider selection, and Raintree really knocked it out of the park. Their catalog had some fantastic specialty options that I couldn't pass up - I ended up choosing the Abbe fetel pear, muir beauty sugar plum, kuban kometa plum, and red clapp's european pear. Everything arrived right on schedule and in great condition. I got my bareroot trees in the ground about a week ago and immediately went ahead with a pretty aggressive prune since I'm working on a cordon espalier project. It's honestly nerve-wracking to cut a young tree down to just a 20 inch stick, but watching them respond so quickly with new buds and branches has been incredible and such a relief! Meanwhile, my order from another company is running two months late, and their customer service is overwhelmed with people trying to cancel. Raintree has completely won me over with their reliability and customer care - this whole process was genuinely stress-free. I'm definitely coming back for more trees!
The plants themselves are fine, but I'm really disappointed with how they handled the situation. My Pawpaw arrived in rough shape, and when I reached out about it, they basically said too bad - they're out of stock on replacements. Since you need two plants for fruit production, this is a real problem. It seems like they don't account for shipping damage or have backup inventory to cover these situations. Now I'm stuck trying to source another one from somewhere else, and who knows when that'll happen or if I can even get one in time for this planting season. Super frustrating.
