What Shoppers Say About LifeSpan Fitness
LifeSpan Fitness receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with shoppers reporting severe issues around customer service and product support. The most common complaints involve refusal to process returns or exchanges, long delays in obtaining replacement parts (sometimes months), unresponsive communication, and lack of support for warranty claims. Several reviewers describe experiencing defects within the first year or two of ownership, only to face financial responsibility for repairs or be left with non-functional equipment.
A small number of satisfied customers praise the durability of their fitness equipment and note that when support is responsive, it can be helpful. However, these positive experiences are far outweighed by complaints about the company's unwillingness to stand behind its products or assist customers in a timely manner. The pattern of issues suggests systemic problems with how LifeSpan Fitness handles warranty service, parts availability, and customer care.

Sorted by: Most recentThis company's return and customer service policies are honestly some of the worst I've ever encountered. I ordered a medicine ball as a gift and it turned out to be smaller than I needed. I asked if I could swap it for a larger size and they flat out said no and refused to do a refund either. That's basically a scam if you ask me. To make matters worse, they took over a month just to respond about the exchange. I really hope this company doesn't stick around much longer with how they treat their customers. I'd warn anyone thinking about ordering from them.
My $3,000 treadmill is just a year and a half old and now it needs a new MCB and belt but they're telling me I have to pay for the technician visit. On top of that, the unit arrived with a broken screen from day one. Customer service has been awful. I've told them how frustrated I am about the total lack of support and they never even escalated my complaint to a manager. You shouldn't have to pay that much out of your own pocket for a treadmill you've taken care of. I don't recommend LifeSpan or their support team.
I bought one of their premium treadmills and then relocated to a new place. During the move the communication port got damaged and now the treadmill won't work since I can't connect the control panel. I reached out to support and they told me the part was out of stock but gave me instructions for later servicing once it came back. A month goes by and it's still unavailable. Plus, fixing it isn't straightforward anyway because the cables are actually glued to the motherboard and it needs specialized tools and a technician. When I pushed back they were initially pretty dismissive. Only after I warned them about leaving negative reviews did they actually get helpful. They finally sent the replacement part. I originally rated them one star for their service but bumped it to three after they finally stepped up. Honestly I shouldn't have had to fight so hard for something so straightforward.
Never received my product and no refund either. Communication and customer service were terrible.
Really happy with how things have gone. Both my treadmill and standing desk have been working perfectly for over 2 years. Had a minor issue with the desk once and support got back to me in about 15 minutes. They even did a video chat to walk me through the fix. Turned out to be simple in the end. Overall it's been a great experience with fast and responsive service.
Absolutely terrible customer service and warranty handling. My 2 year old treadmill had an electronics problem with the motor in January 2024 and the company hasn't been able to get the parts I need. They keep changing their delivery dates. Their most recent promise is end of April 2024, which means my treadmill will have been broken for 4 months straight. The warranty is basically useless if the company can't even stock and manufacture the parts you need for repairs. I've decided to get a different brand because I just don't trust LifeSpan to follow through on their timelines. I would never suggest this company to anybody. Their equipment breaks down and the repair service is basically nonexistent.
I bought a high end TR5000 DT3 model years ago and when I was moving I misplaced the safety key. I checked their website and it was out of stock with no restock date given. I called their support line asking if there was another way to get it working. I found a message on their site mentioning an internal rewire option but there were no instructions and support didn't even know this was possible. Two weeks went by without hearing back and I felt like I had a useless $2500 paperweight. Then my neighbor who's handy suggested using a piece of insulated copper wire wedged into the connectors and taped down. That took maybe 10 minutes and now it works great. Customer service still never responded to me.
These products are just not reliable. Their treadmills are fine for half a year if you're fortunate enough to get that. I bought one and after 6 months it started stopping suddenly while I was running, which is actually dangerous. The thing keeps throwing error messages and eventually refuses to even start after just a few minutes of use. Their customer service is basically nonexistent. They don't answer calls and won't follow up on chat messages. Don't waste your money on their extended warranty either because they won't help you with any technical problems when you actually need it. I really regret this purchase because my treadmill is dead after only half a year of using it. I've got 4 years of warranty still on it but they've refused to fix anything. Look somewhere else for your fitness equipment.
I purchased a TR800 walking desk treadmill for $1200 and was happy at first. After minimal use in the first year, I got an error code that would suddenly stop the belt, throwing me off balance. Support said it was outside the warranty period so they couldn't help. They suggested it was probably just need lubrication. I followed all the instructions and added so much lube that it was literally dripping, but the belt still slips and I keep getting those sudden errors. Support won't return calls or pick up the phone. I've opened multiple email tickets that just get closed without any actual resolution. I'm really frustrated with this company and now I've got an expensive piece of junk. Can't recommend them.
