EXTREMELY LET DOWN: Never got my order + Awful support; Stick with Amazon for DHC. I ordered in July and waited weeks for delivery. When I finally contacted them, they blamed a courier issue and ended up canceling. They offered either a refund or replacement order. I took the replacement thinking I'd give them another shot because I respect Japanese customer service standards. That order also sat for weeks. When I reached out again, they claimed it had already arrived, which wasn't true. I asked for clarification and got stuck in their automated system all over again. The whole thing dragged on for 3 months before I just gave up. What really bothered me was that they never once took initiative to help or follow up with me on their own. I had to chase them down repeatedly.

Been a loyal DHC customer since 2007 but really disappointed now. Placed an order last November and liked the sample moisturizer so much I wanted to switch my regular one for it. I sent back the unopened olive oil product and got a call saying they couldn't accept the return because I was past their 60-day window by a little bit. I talked to multiple people including what seemed like management and still got turned down. The best they offered was free shipping on a new $53 order, which didn't include anything for my returned item worth $44. On top of that, to get my paid-for product back I'd need to pay $6.36 shipping. I was shocked. I asked to be taken off their mailing list and they agreed. Cosmetics have huge profit margins so losing a 16-year customer over less than $10 just doesn't make sense. I get that I missed the deadline by a few weeks, but even other companies bend the rules sometimes.

Excellent DHC product I absolutely recommend. I've been buying their items for years and absolutely love their silky cotton cosmetic pads. My eyes are pretty reactive and using regular cotton pads to remove makeup always made them hurt and sting. Found these online totally by accident and they changed everything. Each box has 80 pads made with a silk blend on top of 100% natural cotton. They're incredibly soft, super gentle, and my sensitive skin doesn't react to them at all. I'm a big fan and they're actually quite affordable. You can find them at lots of online retailers and I'd definitely suggest them to anyone dealing with sensitive eyes.

Not Shopping at DHC Anymore. I'd been buying from them since 2003 and grabbed items yearly to keep my discount membership. But late 2018 changed things when the Japanese government resumed whale hunting, and I decided to stop purchasing from Japanese brands to show my opposition. It's unfortunate that companies have to face consequences for government policies, but sometimes that's the only way to send a message. Their cleansing oil was my favorite product, but I've found another option that works just fine.
