It's definitely a thicker consistency than your average gloss, but it soaks right into your lips without feeling heavy. You can totally layer it under or over a lipstick or another gloss without any issues. What I really appreciate is that there's zero stinging or burning sensation, which I've definitely experienced with other plumping products before. This works great if you've noticed your lips getting thinner as you've gotten older and want to add back some definition. Fair warning though, if you naturally have very thin lips to begin with, you probably won't see dramatic results. For me, the outcome has been fantastic and I'm planning to keep buying it.
