What Shoppers Say About Illesteva
Illesteva receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from online shoppers, with serious complaints centered on customer service and return policies. Reviewers report unresponsive support when attempting to initiate returns, a restrictive 10-day return window (shorter than industry standard), and poor product quality. Multiple customers describe difficulty getting help via email and frustration when quality issues arise, such as lens colors not matching product images. One shopper noted a disconnect between the online department and physical store staff, with online representatives described as unhelpful and dismissive.
While some reviewers acknowledge that the frames have attractive designs, this is outweighed by concerns about durability and the company's unwillingness to stand behind products. Shoppers express frustration that the brand appears to prioritize celebrity endorsements while providing inadequate support to regular paying customers. The combination of unresponsive customer service, strict return limitations, and product quality concerns has led reviewers to recommend avoiding online purchases from this retailer.

Sorted by: Most recentFirst time ordering online and decided I wanted to send the sunglasses back. Their return process requires you to email for permission within a limited timeframe, which seems unnecessarily complicated. I sent several emails trying to get approval but never received any response, so I couldn't complete the return. These weren't cheap glasses either, and the lack of any customer support response was really frustrating. I definitely won't be ordering from them again.
Attractive frames but the quality is disappointing and their customer support is even worse. They're always posting pictures of celebrities in their sunglasses, presumably as brand ambassadors who probably got them free. Regular paying customers like me definitely don't get that same treatment. My frames started deteriorating because of heat exposure, and when I complained they basically said it was my fault for wearing them in the sun. They offered me a 20% off coupon as compensation, but when I actually tried to use it, they said it couldn't be applied to sale items. Guess what, my glasses were already on sale. I own three pairs from this brand and honestly they all have issues with durability. These feel more like throwaway glasses than an investment. Same goes for their customer service approach.
The company won't back up their products when something goes wrong. I ordered a pair and the lens color was completely different from what appeared online. I missed their short return window, which is only 10 days unlike the standard 30 days that most retailers offer, and since these were a gift I didn't realize the timing. When I reached out about getting a replacement, they flat out refused. I spent $200 on this purchase and got nothing but disappointment. That was the last time I'll be giving them my business.
I really can't recommend ordering from their website at all, though the physical store staff is much nicer. The online department seems totally disconnected from the rest of the company and keeps contradicting themselves. The person handling my order was frustratingly unhelpful and dismissive about promises made by her coworker, which was frustrating since that offer influenced my decision to buy in the first place. She kept trying to add extra charges that didn't make sense. Even when items were clearly on sale, she ignored those prices. Specifically, she wanted an additional $300 for mirror prescription lenses even though they were part of a sale and their own website shows those cost $200 at full price. When I asked for an explanation, she had nothing to say. Then she offered a complimentary upgrade but still ended up charging me for it anyway. To make matters worse, she somehow dug up an old address from years back and shipped my order there instead of to the current address I provided multiple times on my order form and all associated receipts.
