What Shoppers Say About VAVA
VAVA products receive overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers. Recurring complaints center on poor build quality, with multiple reviewers reporting devices failing within months of use, including dash cams that do not record properly, baby monitors with failing USB-C ports, and projection TVs overheating. Customer service emerges as a major frustration point, with shoppers describing difficulty obtaining replacements, slow response times, unresponsive email support, and lengthy waits for replacement units. Several reviewers note that replacement processes are stressful, particularly for safety-critical products like baby monitors.
A small minority of shoppers report that products work adequately initially, but the overwhelming pattern suggests durability and support issues. Shoppers explicitly state they would not recommend VAVA products to others. The consistently poor experience across different product categories (dash cams, monitors, baby monitors, and projection TVs) indicates systemic problems with both manufacturing quality and customer service responsiveness.

Sorted by: Most recentThe dash cam itself works okay but getting a replacement mount is incredibly difficult. On top of that, getting a call back or email response is nearly impossible. I wouldn't suggest this dash cam to anyone.
I'm really let down by VAVA. My four year old projection TV started automatically switching to power saving mode and then immediately turning off because it was getting too hot. After going back and forth with Vava several times and following all their suggested fixes at home, they finally said they think it's a heat sensor issue. They quoted me around $1200 and said repairs would take six to eight months. The customer service is awful. I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. If you run into any issues with your device, you'll probably be stuck with a $3000 paperweight.
The quality of these monitors is poor and they fall apart quickly. Customer service is also really unhelpful. My first monitor started buzzing loudly three months into using it. Vava did replace it, but they made me ship the old one back before sending the new one. The replacement took over a week to arrive. As a new mom, this stressed me out so much that I bought a different monitor to use in the meantime. The replacement monitor from Vava only worked for seven months before the stand broke off and it started shutting off randomly. When I asked Vava to fix it, they refused because I was past the 12 month warranty. I'm really upset that I've had two failed monitors and Vava won't stand behind them.
We bought a VAVA dash cam thinking it would record while driving. The blue light blinks constantly when the car is running, so we thought it was recording. We've had it for a couple years and finally got involved in an accident right in front of us. When we checked the video file, nothing was recorded. When I called Vava, they said the camera doesn't do continuous recording and claimed no dash cam does this. The representative basically told me tough luck. I'm out hundreds of dollars on a useless product and now shopping for an actual dash cam that continuously records. Interestingly, there are plenty of options out there that do exactly that.
Incredibly poor customer service and low quality product. We spent over $300 on baby monitors from VAVA that we got at our local Target. Initially they worked okay, but within three months the USB-C ports became really hard to use and stopped charging consistently. We had to twist the cables at odd angles just to get them to charge. This appears to be a widespread problem based on online discussions and forum posts about this exact issue. I contacted their customer service team and spent two months going back and forth without getting anywhere. They insist we mail in both units for inspection before promising any replacement. I've repeatedly explained that we need these monitors for bedtime and can't be without them, but they haven't acknowledged this concern or shown they understand my situation. I'm considering reaching out to the company's leadership to see if they'll take responsibility for their products. For now, I'd strongly recommend staying away from this brand.
The baby monitor I purchased stopped working after just one month of use. I sent an email and got an initial response, but once I sent all the information they asked for, they went silent for over two days. There's no other way to reach them. For a product designed to help keep children safe, this level of service is unacceptable. I need a refund for this overpriced item that doesn't work.
This is a scam operation. Everything about how this company operates screams dishonest. They take your payment and provide zero support. Don't even waste time looking at their products. Nothing works and there's no customer service at all.
WORST customer service around. The representatives seem like they're all automated responses. I've described my problem in countless different ways and still haven't gotten any solution. Stay away from this company. Their website gives false information. Their customer service is completely unhelpful.
DO NOT BUY THIS!!! I got an outdoor camera system from a reseller and it was brand new. When I tried to set the cameras up, I discovered the website that runs them doesn't function and hasn't for quite some time. I got in touch with Vava and their representative said they know about the problem but can't do anything about it right now. I can't believe this is how they operate.
Skip their products unless you want to deal with non-existent customer support. I picked up one of their items from another retailer a few weeks back and the rear camera started having video problems. I contacted their support team, explained the issue, and provided proof of purchase. They asked me to send photos and videos of the problem repeatedly so their so-called engineer could look at it. A month went by without any response, so I followed up and asked if I could just buy a replacement rear camera cable instead. They said maybe, but they'd need to check with their engineer about stock and I'd have to pay shipping. Nothing came back for a week. Their camera does what it's supposed to, but everything else about the experience was awful. Their support team is basically useless and moves at a snail's pace, which makes you wonder if they're just stalling until you give up. Definitely buy from someone else instead.
