I've been buying Cole Haan shoes for the past 15 years. The quality is solid, not premium but definitely good considering the price point in the low hundreds. The shoes fit me well and I haven't had any problems with them wearing out, even years down the line. Their return policy is also really fair - I've sent back shoes before when they weren't quite right once I had them in hand, and they let me. Plus they'll even take back clearance and sale items, which a lot of retailers won't do.

Sent my return on November 13th with confirmation of delivery to their warehouse on November 15th. By November 19th, nothing - no confirmation, no update on whether they even received it. Contacted support and all I got was their return is undergoing checks. Three business days of checks with no progress shown? Asked again if the checks were finished and refund was starting. Radio silence. It was just a size swap, nothing complicated. Since Cole Haan won't confirm they got it, I'm stuck and can't order the right size. I'm not upset about their 14-day window which is fair, but they keep saying we're checking it without ever explaining what's happening. For a major brand, not even sending a simple acknowledgement that a return arrived is seriously lacking. Other retailers handle this so much better.

Another customer mentioned the same issue I'm having - can't cancel or change the shipping address with either Cole Haan or UPS. I made a mistake with my address initially and contacted them right away to fix it, but they refused to help. I've been going back and forth between both companies for several days now, and neither one will do anything. Both keep saying the other company is responsible. This whole experience has left me with a terrible impression, and I'm definitely going to tell people about it. Make sure you really think carefully before buying from them.

The real problem is their return policy doesn't match anyone else's in 2025. They count from when you place the order, which is really unfair when their shipping takes forever. I ordered something and waited 2 weeks for delivery even though they claim 3-5 business days. This feels like intentional misleading and really unfair to customers.

Ordered a gift on Black Friday and Cole Haan canceled it four days later without explanation. Nobody told me it was canceled. My refund didn't come through for 11 days and only after I kept asking. So I tried again and ordered something else on December 12th, but it never came. Just got an email saying a shipping label was created, but the carrier never actually picked it up. When I asked customer service for help, they said they can't cancel orders or contact the warehouse themselves. They have to go through corporate. It's obvious this company doesn't care about getting orders to customers or providing decent support. Shopping here is risky.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service!! Ordered sneakers from their site as a birthday present. The listing said delivery would be 5-7 days, but several days past that deadline I still didn't have the shoes. Called their customer service and got a lame response that their system hadn't updated and I'd just have to wait. It's clear why they have such poor ratings here. If I could rate them zero stars, I definitely would.

When I went to wear them again, I took them out just to go to the car and into a couple of nearby shops. Spent maybe an hour total, and when I returned to my vehicle, I discovered both shoe heels had completely fallen apart. These shoes were practically unworn. Called Cole Haan's customer service line and essentially got told there was nothing they could do. I can't endorse any shoe brand or product from a company that won't stand by their merchandise. I'm finished purchasing from Cole Haan. You should really reconsider spending your hard-earned money on this brand.

Had a pair of Nike Air wedges from Cole Haan that I bought two years ago and kept stored properly in a climate-controlled closet. Decided to wear them again this year and took them out to visit a couple of stores nearby. After about an hour and my second store visit, I got back to my car and both heels were completely destroyed. These shoes were basically untouched. I called Cole Haan customer service and they basically told me too bad, not their problem. I can't recommend any brand that won't back up what they sell. After this, I won't be buying anything from them again. Before you spend your money on this brand, really think twice about whether you want to take that chance.

Bought a pair of men's leather dress shoes back in August 2023. Wore them just two times before they completely fell apart in May 2024. During my second wearing, the heels came off in pieces. By afternoon, one heel was pretty much gone and the other one was half destroyed. The shoes were clearly defective from the factory, but Cole Haan wouldn't give me a refund. The company makes shoddy shoes and won't take responsibility for them. If you buy from Cole Haan, you're taking a big risk.

I'd give zero stars if possible. Placed an order for three pairs of shoes in mid-August and they still haven't arrived. The company said they were shipping by boat, which seems crazy in today's world. I was told there would be a 50% credit applied and that never happened either. Both the website and their tracking system seem like scams to me. My advice is to only order directly from the main Cole Haan site and make sure to select your correct country.

Got a pair for the office. They're comfortable and the price is really good.
