Promo Code Not Working? Try This

  • Check that the code has not expired or reached its maximum usage limit by verifying the offer details on RetailCoupons.com.
  • Confirm the code applies to your specific product category or item type, as some promotions are restricted to parts, mowers, or in-stock items only.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try entering the code again in case a technical glitch prevented proper application.
  • Verify you entered the code exactly as shown on RetailCoupons.com, including all letters and numbers with correct capitalization.
  • Check whether the code requires a minimum purchase amount or excludes certain brands or product lines.
  • Contact Cub Cadet customer service with your order details if the code still fails to apply after these steps.

Cub Cadet Savings Hacks

Stack parts discounts for bulk orders

If you need multiple replacement parts, check whether Cub Cadet offers separate promotions for parts purchases that you can combine with other eligible codes to maximize savings on routine maintenance items.

Time purchases for seasonal sales

Lawn equipment typically sees deeper discounts during spring and fall shoulder seasons rather than peak mowing months, so planning ahead can help you secure better offers on mowers and attachments.

Monitor for first-time buyer offers

New customers sometimes qualify for introductory discounts on their initial Cub Cadet purchase, so compare available promotions before checking out if you are a first-time buyer.

Check inventory clearance sections

Cub Cadet frequently rotates in-stock items and may offer separate promotions on clearance or previous-year models, which can be combined with coupon codes for additional savings.

Cub Cadet Shipping Policy

Cub Cadet handles shipping for outdoor power equipment and parts through standard carriers. Shoppers should review the specific shipping costs and delivery timeframes displayed during checkout, as rates vary by product size, weight, and destination zip code. Large equipment like mowers typically incurs higher shipping fees than small replacement parts.

Cub Cadet Returns & Refund Policy

Cub Cadet allows returns on most products, though the specific return window and conditions depend on the item type and purchase date. Review the return policy details on cubcadet.com or contact their customer service before making a purchase to understand your options if the equipment does not meet your needs.

Cub Cadet products receive overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with the vast majority reporting serious reliability and durability issues. Customers describe equipment failing prematurely, tractors requiring frequent repairs that consume most operating seasons, and mowers with design flaws like poor mulching performance and steering problems. Parts availability emerges as a critical concern, with shoppers unable to replace worn components on older equipment, effectively rendering expensive machinery worthless. Customer service interactions are characterized as unhelpful and frustrating.

The rare positive comment acknowledges one product's mulching capability, but this is vastly outweighed by reports of equipment that fails to perform as advertised, even when maintained carefully by owners. Shoppers express regret about their purchases and frustration with the gap between sales claims and actual product performance. The consistent pattern of complaints across multiple product categories (tractors, mowers, trimmers) suggests systemic quality and support issues rather than isolated incidents.

BE CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING! I got what Cub Cadet claimed was their top tier self propelled mower. I maintained that machine incredibly well, determined to keep it working for decades. Eight years in, I needed to swap out the worn tires. Much to my dismay, those tires weren't manufactured anymore, which made my premium mower completely worthless. It's been sitting gathering cobwebs and collecting dust. PROCEED WITH CAUTION WITH CUB CADET.

Third year owning this Cub Cadet tractor. Should easily have around three hundred hours by now. Just hit seventy hours this past weekend after constant effort. Got to seventy point one hours and it died again. Year one was mostly spent in the repair shop and my neighbors mowed our property for us that whole season plus last year. Complete piece of garbage with nothing but endless problems from the equipment dealer. By the way, they're super helpful once your warranties expire. Total garbage!

Jennifer L.May 11, 2025

The mulching performance on this Cub Cadet rider is the absolute worst I've experienced on any mower ever. After finishing our third of an acre, I'm completely covered from head to foot in cut grass pieces. Grass constantly shoots out from the front and the right side. The design is just bad and I wish we'd picked literally any other brand instead of this yellow garbage. We've owned it for three years and it's had this exact problem since day one. I would never suggest this to anyone.

Marcus T.Nov 27, 2024

Where do I even begin? Stephanie, Kyle, and Mandy were all unhelpful when I contacted them about service issues. They either disconnected me or wouldn't allow me to hang up and leave feedback. The purchase was four days old when the big box retailer refused a return. The steering pulls heavily to the right, the bagging system doesn't collect properly, and there's significant grass blowback.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. Got a Cub Cadet string trimmer that was heavily promoted by the sales guy. He kept saying things like "These perform incredibly," "You'll have zero issues," "You're getting your money's worth," "This is a brand new model," and on and on. We paid full retail price thinking we'd invested in a solid piece of equipment that would last years. Initially it worked great. But after less than two years, the carburetor failed completely, no RPMs, no engine strength, no high-speed spinning head to tackle the overgrown vegetation on our property. We figured we'd just replace the carburetor and be done with it, EXCEPT WE CAN'T! Turns out Cub Cadet discontinued this model AND doesn't make replacement parts anymore. Finding a used part? Impossible, since every lawn equipment dealer is familiar with this exact same problem. This appears to be Cub Cadet's business model: produce a faulty product, push it hard in sales, then stop manufacturing it once customer complaints pile up. If you see one of these on sale, skip it. Instead, take your cash, grab a lighter and burn it. Honestly, you'll enjoy yourself more watching the flames. Bottom line - AVOID CUB CADET STRING TRIMMERS AND HEDGE EQUIPMENT! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I got a 2005 model LT 1046 with a 46 inch deck about two and a half months back and had to basically rebuild the whole thing. It's got nine hundred fifty hours on it. Some structural cracks required welding at weak connection points between the parts manual and owners manual specifications. The manuals are seriously incomplete with lots of stuff you have to figure out yourself. In my view, the engineers who designed this model are incompetent and should be ashamed of their work. The overall construction quality is poor and many areas show cheap materials and thoughtless planning. I also own a GT 235 John Deere that unfortunately got crushed by a falling tree during cleanup work, which seems to be my luck. That mower was the absolute best, and I miss it. Good luck with your Cub Cadets, but I'll say mine is performing okay right now and that doesn't make up for the frustration I went through.

I work in the lawn maintenance industry and have witnessed plenty of these zero turn models get used. Without fail, whenever someone buys one brand new straight from the dealer, within two months they're dealing with engine troubles and parts breaking off everywhere. These aren't worth more than one hundred dollars as parts units if that.

Edward P.Sep 16, 2024

This machine is EXTREMELY LOUD. Cub Cadet has managed to engineer their maintenance process, particularly removing the deck and changing the blades, to be almost impossible. I wasn't happy with how complicated changing blades was on my old John Deere, so I thought I'd give Cub Cadet a shot. They really impressed me with just how unnecessarily difficult they made the blade replacement process.

Kenneth F.Sep 7, 2024

The absolute worst experience with any business I've dealt with. They apparently can't even manage their finances properly. I purchased a new riding mower with a monthly payment plan set up, and when they didn't collect the first payment I called the shop. By month two I was ready to cover a double payment. Neither charge went through, yet they sent me late fees totaling eighty dollars. I'm still trying to get this straightened out. If it doesn't get resolved soon, I'm demanding my down payment back and buying a completely different brand.

Lawrence S.Aug 27, 2024

Absolutely terrible customer service. I have a 2023 Cub Cadet XT1 42B with only thirty hours on it. The valve needs replacement. Cub Cadet is refusing to cover it under warranty because I'm not the original purchaser. The previous owner relocated out of state and can't be contacted. They also claim they won't cover Briggs and Stratton engine issues and that needs to go directly through the engine manufacturer. Watch out before purchasing.

Thomas G.Aug 1, 2024

I normally don't write reviews but this situation forced my hand. I purchased a small part for around six dollars and paid an extra twenty to get next business day delivery. Two days pass and nothing arrives. I attempted to track the shipment but the system only showed what my order contained. After waiting on hold for thirty minutes, I finally got through to someone. She gave me the typical corporate response about an IT problem and claimed my part would ship the next day, plus they'd refund the expedited shipping charge. That doesn't actually solve anything though. They should absolutely refund me anyway, but the real problem persists. I PAID FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY FOR A REASON!!!! I could have ordered from a couple other retailers, including the biggest one out there, and would've only waited one additional day for regular shipping. Now I'm stuck because I'll need to wait four more days getting it from somewhere else with no overnight option. That's exactly why I NEEDED THAT NEXT DAY DELIVERY!!! At sixty-five years old, pushing a mower across an acre in this heat isn't safe. I really wish I had read the reviews first. I won't be doing business with them ever again!

Christopher B.Jul 30, 2024

Their phone lines are virtually impossible to navigate if you want to talk to an actual human. I've tried calling twice and both times spent more than half an hour waiting without reaching anyone.

Bradley N.Jul 29, 2024

I will never purchase another Cub Cadet again! Their customer service is dreadful, nobody picks up the phone, and their web chat only gives automated responses. I purchased parts six days ago and still have no idea whether they've even shipped, with absolutely no tracking number provided.

Amanda K.Jul 23, 2024

We bought a Cub Cadet with genuine enthusiasm. For the first week it ran perfectly, then it quit. We activated the warranty coverage for what should never have been a problem with a brand new zero turn. What made things worse was that the warranty repair shop they recommended kept the machine saying it could take about three weeks. Still haven't gotten it back and that was early June. Getting in touch with the company based in North Carolina is nearly impossible. We get barely any updates and Cub Cadet themselves can't help at all. I regret not being able to return it. But they held onto it past the thirty day window. Now we're wondering if we bought some kind of refurbished unit from the big box store. Absolutely never again.

Walter J.Jul 10, 2024

I've had this ST100 string trimmer for approximately three years. One of two things is going to happen within the next week. Either I'm going to swap in a Briggs engine or I'm going to trash this thing and buy a completely different brand that uses a Briggs engine. This machine performs well when it actually starts, but getting it going is a coin flip. When the engine is cold, forget about it, and if it does warm up it flat out won't restart. Obviously this means once I begin mowing I can only keep going until the tank empties or the line needs replacing. This is the second Cub Cadet piece of junk I've purchased and it's absolutely the final one. Complete garbage.
