Do not book at Hotel des Colonies in Brussels if you can help it. I reserved an executive room through your site and it was a nightmare from check-in. The front desk staff couldn't locate my reservation, opened doors to occupied rooms, then showed me a room with no working lights. When they went to check on availability, they claimed all the executive suites were dirty. I ended up in a terrible room that smelled off, had broken fixtures, and felt completely substandard. The amenities were useless - the iron was filthy and broken, the hair dryer caught fire after using it for one minute, there was no closet space, and the coffee machine in the lobby didn't work. The building was under construction which explained why everything looked neglected and uncared for. The only bright spot was the receptionist who was sympathetic but equally frustrated. Nobody seemed to be overseeing operations and taking responsibility. I've complained multiple times and received nothing - no refund, no response, nothing.
Made a booking for two rooms and ran into serious issues with your pricing system. Reserved at 1:30pm for 180 Euros per room but hit a technical glitch mid-checkout. When I tried again just 30 minutes later, the exact same rooms jumped to 401 Euros. That's over 10% more for nothing changing. As someone who's been loyal to your brand, this feels like you're taking advantage of customers rather than rewarding them. Really disappointed by this bait and switch tactic.
The hotel and management team actually fixed the problems from my previous visit. That kind of follow-up is pretty unusual, especially in the budget hotel sector where margins are tight. They definitely earned another star for stepping up and making it right.
Had the worst night at one of their Ibis locations. When I tried to get help, the head office just pointed fingers at the hotel instead of actually helping. Never got the refund I deserved. Honestly, stay away from their hotels if you can. It was just a bad experience all around.
Stayed at the Liverpool location and the team was so friendly and helpful the whole time we were there. The breakfast spread each morning was delicious. Plus it's super convenient being able to walk to all the main attractions. Special thanks to Simon who walked me through my rental car twice - he was incredibly patient and really went the extra mile to make sure I understood everything.
Celebrated my birthday here on January 16th and honestly it was incredible. Every detail showed they cared - my suite was decorated so thoughtfully and the staff went above and beyond. A special shoutout to Chef Nikhil from the executive club who treated us like royalty. There was this one dish of his that was absolutely unforgettable, wish I could remember the name!

This hotel sits in such a fantastic spot in Gangnam, Seoul. I was pumped for my two night stay and the experience didn't disappoint. This Novotel is absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived through check-in, dining, the pool area and housekeeping, every single staff member was smiling and genuinely pleasant. That's rare nowadays. They're all working so hard and clearly taking pride in what they do. I've stayed at numerous Novotels over the years and the consistency in professional service and genuine care is always impressive. Great job to the whole team!

We have to give major props to Ariane at the front desk for making our stay absolutely wonderful. Her help and attention to detail made all the difference. She's the main reason we're giving five stars. Please keep her on the team because she's doing amazing work. The hotel itself is nice too. One thing that bothered us though was how some restaurant staff treated guests - it felt like there was different treatment happening depending on background, and that's not okay. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and with respect no matter who they are. The five star rating is really for Ariane's exceptional service.
