Promo Code Not Working? Try This
- The code may have expired, so verify the offer is still active on RetailCoupons.com before attempting to use it.
- Some codes apply only to specific hotel brands within the Choice Hotels portfolio, so confirm your selected property qualifies.
- The discount might require a minimum stay length or booking value, so check the offer terms for eligibility requirements.
- Existing loyalty members may be restricted from stacking certain promotions, so review whether your account status affects the offer.
- The code could be single-use only, meaning it cannot be redeemed multiple times if you have already used it.
- Promo codes typically cannot be combined with other active discounts or sales, so ensure you are not attempting to layer multiple offers.
Choice Hotels Savings Hacks
Joining the Choice Hotels loyalty program often provides members-only rates alongside promo codes. Check if combining a code with your membership tier generates additional savings beyond the advertised discount.
Choice Hotels frequently launches seasonal and holiday promotions such as spring or free night offers. Timing your reservation during these campaigns can yield better discounts than standard coupon codes alone.
Choice Hotels manages multiple brands with different price points and policies. Ensure your selected property matches the coupon's brand eligibility, as some codes apply only to specific chains within the portfolio.
Choice Hotels often sends exclusive promo codes to email subscribers that may not appear elsewhere. Signing up for their mailing list can provide access to additional discounts and early notification of flash sales.
Choice Hotels Shipping Policy
As a hotel booking service, Choice Hotels does not ship physical products. Reservations are confirmed through their website and guests travel to their selected property to check in. Confirmation and itinerary details are typically delivered via email or through the customer's account dashboard.
Choice Hotels Returns & Refund Policy
Hotel reservation cancellation and modification policies vary by property and rate type. Guests should review the specific cancellation terms at booking, as some rates are non-refundable while others allow free cancellation up to a certain deadline. Contact the hotel directly or access your reservation through choicehotels.com to make changes or request a refund based on the terms you accepted.

Choice Hotels Reviews
Choice Hotels receives polarized feedback, with 21 ratings split sharply between highly satisfied and deeply dissatisfied customers. Shoppers praise the brand's hotel network and rewards program concept, but a substantial portion of recent reviews highlight serious operational failures: incorrect property information on the website, unresponsive customer service that dismisses guest concerns, rewards points not being credited or restored, cleanliness issues including bed bug reports, and staff indifference to legitimate problems. Multiple reviewers report feeling misled by booking details and abandoned when issues arise, with particular frustration directed at the company's handling of guest concerns and unwillingness to assist with basic requests like mail forwarding.
The polarized rating distribution (2.5 out of 5 by 21 shoppers) suggests that Choice Hotels experiences either very positive stays or significantly problematic ones. Common complaint themes include inadequate staff training or empowerment to resolve issues, inaccurate property listings and photos on the booking website, and a perceived decline in customer service responsiveness. For potential guests, the reviews emphasize the importance of verifying property details independently and being prepared for possible service gaps if issues occur during your stay.
When they mess up your rewards points, they never give them back. Skip this place if you're mainly staying for the points program. Customer service for these problems used to be reliable, but now they just don't care anymore.
This was honestly the worst experience I've ever had. We drove almost 13 hours only to get completely wrong information when we arrived. I don't care if this is seen because I want everyone to know. Do not book with this company. They give you false details and when you call them out on it, they just hang up on you. That's not taking responsibility at all. Even if you have to spend extra money elsewhere, it's worth it just to have an actual place to sleep.
This was the absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had. I discovered bed bugs in my bed that had already bitten me. When I told the front desk, the worker didn't seem to care at all about the problem. She said the manager wasn't coming in until 8 in the morning and moved me to another room. We checked that room carefully and it was missing a remote. When we told her, she moved us again. The third room's internet wasn't working. We spent the night moving between three different rooms. I called the Choice Hotels customer service line where I made the reservation and they were sympathetic but said the only thing I could do was talk to the manager. I called at 8 and was told the manager still wasn't there. When I told the front desk about the bed bugs, she actually yelled at me and said there's no way they have bed bugs. I felt like someone was about to jump out and yell that this was a prank. I asked for the manager and never got to speak to them directly.
We booked through the Choice Hotels website in February for a January stay at what was listed as the Abitta Boutique hotel with the Ascend Collection brand. When we got there, we discovered it wasn't actually a Choice property anymore. We were put in a different hotel next door that looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The room was disgusting, dark, gloomy, with a broken window covering, broken safe, broken drawer, and barely enough light to read. When I called Choice Hotels, they said they stopped working with that property in July and basically didn't care about the problem. They refused to take responsibility for this misleading situation. Don't trust Choice Hotels when booking.
Country Inn Suites in Portland was where we stayed over the holiday break. My wife accidentally left her glasses in the room. When we got to our next stop, she called back and they confirmed they had found them. She asked if she could arrange to pay for them to be mailed to her. They said no. She asked to speak with a manager. The clerk took her number and said someone would call her back. They never did. We called the main customer service line when we got home. They took all the details and told us to call back in a couple of weeks. When we did, they said they hadn't heard back from the hotel and suggested we try again later. We escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor basically said their hands were tied and it was completely up to each hotel to handle customer issues. When I pointed out that this sounded like they were telling us to just accept losing her glasses, she said that wasn't how she'd word it, but there was nothing she could do. I've never seen such bad customer service at any level, especially corporate.
Really terrible visit. I reserved a handicap accessible room with a bathtub, but there was no drain stopper. The front desk said they had nothing available and there was no one from maintenance available that night. The next day they moved me to a different room that actually had one. I was concerned about the fridge, but they said no maintenance was available during the day. I asked the manager to call me but she was too busy and left without ever calling back. When I checked the fridge myself, I found several spots of black mold. I contacted the chain but the manager never called me back either.
I would give zero stars if possible. These hotels used to be fantastic when I traveled frequently for work, but things have really changed post-pandemic. The quality has dropped dramatically with poor staffing, missing amenities, surprise fees that aren't advertised, and questionable guests. One NC location had a sign saying no refunds within 10 minutes of check-in. My room smelled heavily of mold and mildew even though it looked okay otherwise. Outside, trash cans were completely overflowing with garbage, beer cans, and worse. There were cameras everywhere, and the front desk staff would literally rush out to interrogate you if you walked around the building. Between the constant questioning and the raccoons tearing into the trash, it was a disaster. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
I was deceived, my money was stolen, and the staff lacked all integrity, particularly management. The included WiFi connection kept cutting out and often didn't work at all. Since I needed it and it ruined my stay, I left a day early wanting a refund because what was advertised wasn't actually provided. When I called the weekend manager, I couldn't reach them, and they used the internet problem as a reason to refuse my refund. The employee told me the manager was busy and would contact me, but that never happened. Someone working in customer service should have shown more respect. I also wrote to corporate and received no response. Look for other options. There's no trustworthiness here.
I was lied to, ripped off, and the staff showed zero integrity, especially the management. The WiFi that was supposed to be included barely worked and was down constantly. It made my stay terrible, so I checked out early expecting to get my money back since the advertised feature wasn't working. Management wouldn't take my call on the weekend and used the WiFi issue as an excuse to deny my refund. The staff member I talked to said the manager was in meetings and would call back, but that never happened. As someone in customer service, this person showed no respect for customers. I even emailed the corporate office and didn't get a single response. Go somewhere else. This place has no credibility.
This company is the worst, so impolite and unhelpful. I booked at a hotel that was advertised as a low-rise with sea views, but when we got there it was up four flights of stairs. Because of a medical condition, I physically couldn't manage stairs and needed a ground-floor room. They had a back room available that I didn't want. I've been going back and forth trying to get a refund. I called the reservation department and spoke with a supervisor who was incredibly rude and didn't show any sympathy. I hope she never faces the challenges I'm dealing with.
I reserved through the mobile app and got charged twice on two separate nights at different properties. This happens a lot and it's definitely not by accident. The app says there's a server error and asks you to submit again, but it just charges you twice. When you call the front desk number in the app, you get routed to an overseas call center and have to specifically request to speak with someone at the US location.
The Econo Lodge in Christiansburg, VA is filthy! I booked for one night in mid-April and the room was absolutely revolting. There was water damage, a terrible smell, and fresh blood on the blanket. When I complained, I didn't even get an apology. They offered 25 percent off, which is insulting for blood on bedding. You should give a full refund for that. I contacted the corporate office and got offered 8000 points, which doesn't even cover one night stay. Book somewhere nice instead. This is unacceptable and they need to do better.
Calling the reservation line wound up costing me way too much money for a short call. They show 7 pence per minute but your phone company bills you at 55 pence a minute, so you're really paying 62 pence every minute. My credit ran out after 4 minutes and I couldn't call back.
My stay at the Econo Lodge in St Appolinaire Quebec was absolutely wonderful and exactly what I needed. After a grueling 10-hour drive from Niagara, the front desk associate greeted me with genuine helpfulness and professionalism. The room was spotless, the sheets felt great, and everything was perfect. That evening I grabbed a beer at the lobby bar, and the same staff member was just as attentive. Breakfast the next morning hit the spot, and leaving was hassle-free. The rates were very fair for the quality. Just 15 minutes from Old Quebec City makes it even better. Highly recommend this place.
Great location in Oshawa, right near the highway, with very clean rooms and a solid breakfast included. You can find plenty of ground-level rooms to choose from. Everything you need is nearby, including shopping and restaurants. The team is super professional, courteous, and accommodating. The manager here is top-notch. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
