Taking my grandson to see the Statue of Liberty was what made this special. The security screening before boarding moved faster than I thought it would. One suggestion though, the waiting area outside the boat really could use some shade structures or umbrellas because it was sweltering with nothing protecting you from the sun. The boarding process was orderly but getting people off the boat could use some organization because there's a lot of confusion with people shuffling around. When we got to the Statue, one of the checkpoint workers was a bit unwelcoming. He complained about our small leather purses even though they were just normal crossbody bags, and made us get lockers and go back through the line. We noticed he allowed others to bring in larger bags without issue, which was frustrating especially having to wait in line again. Adding some shade at the Statue would be helpful too. That said, the Statue itself and the museum were wonderful experiences.
Everything about this tour, starting with booking the crown access online through to when we wrapped up at the end, went smoothly without any hiccups. What an incredible company that delivers a real once in a lifetime adventure. I'm telling everyone I know to book with them.

The self guided format was ideal because you could go at your own pace and take breaks whenever you wanted.
