I'm really shocked by the bad reviews on here. For my situation it's been the best learning platform available because of what my daughter has gotten out of it. She picked it up a couple years back at age seven to study German and now she's really confident speaking it. Even my German relatives were blown away by how well she speaks after such a short time. She's still working toward proficiency tests but I'm really glad we went with Duolingo and got her a paid account. These days she uses it for Spanish, Music and Chess too. I wish I had access to something this good when I was growing up. We upgraded her to the premium tier and now she can do video calls and roleplay scenarios which she loves. If you want your kids learning new skills in a fun way every day then I highly suggest it.

Really enjoying it. I don't get why someone complained about fairness if you can't pay for premium. You can do tons without spending a dime. That's fair in my opinion.
