Frigidaire Reviews
Frigidaire is rated 1.2 out of 5 by 23 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews expressing serious dissatisfaction. Shoppers report recurring issues with appliance defects appearing within months of purchase, including malfunctioning ovens, refrigerators that fail prematurely, and combo units with persistent electrical problems. Beyond the product failures themselves, customers cite customer service as a major pain point, describing responses as unhelpful or dismissive. Repair experiences compound the frustration, with shoppers reporting multiple technician visits that either fail to resolve issues or make problems worse, along with encounters with disrespectful service personnel and expensive repair bills for parts that do not function.
The few positive experiences in this dataset are minimal, with only a small percentage of reviewers expressing satisfaction. Common complaints include extended periods without working appliances (one customer went five weeks without a refrigerator), recurring failures in the same unit despite multiple repair attempts, and poor communication from support staff. Shoppers consistently advise others to avoid purchasing Frigidaire products and services.
Ordered a slide-in range but the store got the model wrong. Since I'd already tossed my old one, I kept it to avoid waiting longer. Problem is, when I fired it up the first time, nasty smell came pouring out. I figured it was just the new burning off, but weeks went by and the stench stayed. Two different technicians showed up and both said nothing was wrong and the smell would go away on its own. Tried calling customer service recently and everyone was swamped, so I jumped on the chat. Rep named Nita asked me to clean inside real good in case there was burned stuff stuck on there. I sent her pictures showing how clean I already keep it since I wipe everything down after each use. After looking at the photos she told me if the odor doesn't quit to reach back out. Spent an hour chatting and got absolutely nowhere. Why bother, right? Honestly, if I'd known how awful their support was, I never would've bought a Frigidaire. Do yourself a solid and skip this brand and Electrolux too. Also grabbed their washer dryer combo and that washer only cycles in hot water.
My oven quit working. The whole repair situation is a disaster. Customer service has been terrible.
Never purchase a Frigidaire. My fridge broke down after only five months and needed repairs. That's absurd for a new appliance. Customer service was zero help. We went without our fridge for five entire weeks. Horrible experience.
Absolute garbage company selling garbage products. Do not buy from them! Our microwave and oven combo has had problems for over a year since we bought it back in November 2024. It just shuts off completely at random, sometimes multiple times daily. They've sent technicians out probably over seven times. Many visits just made things worse. Every call they promise to send someone out before deciding it's too broken to fix. After more than a year of this and countless last minute reschedules after I rearranged my schedule, you'd think they'd accept it's unfixable. They're the absolute worst. Never buy from them. I just want my money back so I can go with a different brand.
Defective appliances combined with terrible support made this a nightmare. I spent $370 on parts that wound up not working, and the repair guy was extremely disrespectful and refused to finish the work. Don't bother with their stuff.
Got stuck with broken parts and the worst customer service imaginable. Dropped $370 on components that never worked right, plus the repair tech was incredibly rude and wouldn't complete the job. Steer clear of their equipment.
Would rate zero if I could. Total scam artists with abysmal support. Seriously, stay away and don't give them your money!
Would give negative stars if possible. These folks are running a total scam operation with customer service that's absolutely horrible. Save yourself and keep your wallet closed!
When I bought my fridge, it was supposed to arrive in just a few days. I rearranged my schedule at work, emptied out my old unit, moved it, and got my home ready. Then they pushed the delivery out about two weeks, which meant more time off and more disruption. When it finally got here, it was severely damaged. I reached out about possibly keeping it with a partial refund to skip more delays since I desperately needed a working fridge and had already arranged pickup of my old one. They said no way, it had to go back. So I agreed reluctantly. They scheduled a pickup for the following week. On pickup day, the driver said he couldn't take it because there was snow on the driveway. Thing is, the driveway was completely cleared and multiple cars had driven on it without any problem that same day. I offered three different solutions, all turned down without explanation.
Should've read reviews before ordering from what I thought was a reputable brand. I placed an order on 12/3 for double ovens with delivery set for 12/11. After hearing nothing, I called to confirm and was told the date was still good. We cleared our schedule, waited around, then mid-afternoon got an email with a different date. Instructions said call the delivery company if it didn't work, so I phoned three times and left messages. Nobody ever called back so we blocked out that new date. Four days later we got an inch of snow and the delivery guys showed up, didn't knock or call, just took pictures of the house and refused to deliver because of the snow. Called customer service twice asking for a reschedule and was told someone would get back to us. They never did. Three days after that, I got an email saying they'd deliver three days BEFORE the email date. At that point I was furious, called and cancelled, with the rep promising a full refund. Next morning at 7:30 a delivery guy called saying he was 17 minutes away. Already cancelled, I told him. Still haven't seen that refund, so I disputed it with the credit card company.
Wish I'd checked reviews before buying this over under washer and dryer combo. Based on what I'm reading about the company I really should have looked first. This washer dryer is absolutely terrible. There's a balance load feature that triggers an error message depending on how much laundry you put in. I needed to get laundry done before dark, had two hours total, an hour to wash and an hour to dry. Started around 2:15 and by the time the sun set I was still getting balance load errors. My soaking wet clothes are sitting in the washer and I don't know what to do. Can't take them out and run them again because sometimes that doesn't work either. Absolutely awful design. Seems like it was designed by someone trying to build a better machine but clearly didn't get the job done, kind of like the Ford Focus. Terrible car, terrible washing machine. Sad they don't even respond to feedback.
Got a stove as a gift in September but it's completely defective. The second I turned on the oven it filled my place with so much gas I nearly passed out. Tech came out and said it needed a replacement gas reflector because the one in there was producing way too much gas. It's been three months now and the oven still doesn't work. Technicians have cancelled at least five separate visits. I'm done waiting and want a full refund plus for them to pick up this broken appliance. Small claims court is looking pretty likely at this point.
The delivery crew seemed determined to be as terrible as humanly possible. Everything became an issue, nothing was simple. They acted like they'd never done an install before and hated every second of physical work. Then I hear them outside my door trashing me at top volume. They then said I should be grateful they were even doing this and no one else would help me out. Funny thing is, I did all the prep work myself. Lost the paperwork for my old appliance removal and wouldn't take it. Fair enough, but they thrashed it so bad they had to bring a replacement right away. But when replacement day came? They overbooked and texted me at 8pm the night before saying 'oops, let's reschedule.' I never even got to try out my new freezer in good condition. There's zero chance I'm writing them a good review. Last purchase from this company for me.
Got a dangerous gas oven back in October. Strong gas smell whenever I used it, and they claimed it's normal for new ovens. The smell just wouldn't go away so I called the gas company. They told me the oven has faulty delayed ignition and gas builds up before it fires, so they shut off the gas line immediately. Frigidaire still hasn't fixed it. When a repair person came out he said he recognizes the issue and fixes these all the time but doesn't have the part in stock. Said he'd order it and be back in a week. That week came and the part never got ordered. Now they're claiming the tech showed up and we refused service. Terrible company with shocking customer service. Don't go with this brand.
Dangerous gas oven. Got a new one put in back in October and every time I used it there was an overwhelming gas smell. They kept saying that's just how new ovens smell. It didn't stop so I called out a gas company and they told me the oven has faulty delayed ignition that fills with gas before lighting and shut off the gas right away. Still waiting for Frigidaire to fix it. A repair person showed up saying he knows what the problem is and he's fixing tons of these but doesn't have the part today. He said he'd order it and return in a week. Well that day arrived and the part was never even ordered. Then they claimed the technician showed up and we refused the repair. This company is terrible, their customer service team is shocking. Skip this brand.
