Return a controller Returned racial prejudicial treatment

I bought a controller from this location on Xmas Eve, realized it was the wrong one and tried to return it the day after Xmas. I walk into the store and instantly everything is negative, no greeting no hey can I help you with something etc ... Just some rude guy with a receding hair line with a ponytail belly boarding on the counter says what ya want! Before I can even respond he looks at what I'm holding and says did you open it! Then the manager who is on the phone and doesn't know whats going on comes and snatches the controller from me without taking the receipt and walks off to the back. I wait for 10 minutes with no information. I try to ask what's going on and the belly boarder gets an attitude and becomes hostile. The manger comes to the front finally and without hearing me out says "can't do anything for you so yeah you're out $200!" I ask can I get credit for the controller towards the one I actually meant to get and he says I can give you $25 but that's it! Then it hits me as Im walking out hearing them interact with everyone else in the store that I'm the only black person in there. Im not one to put negative social labels on someone but I've lived long enough and in a variety of places to know when someone is being prejudicial and or racial. I say that to say I hear them speak to the other customers in the store and their tone, demeanor, patience etc ... Is a complete 180 from how I was treated. I never came in with an attitude I stayed respectful the entire time. All I wanted was to exchange a controller that was mistakenly purchased for the correct one so now I'm stuck with something I can't do anything with! Please everyone avoid this GameStop location or maybe GameStop as a whole

Paid 10.00 for same day shipping

Paid 10.00 for same day shipping. Clearly stated if bought by 5pm I'd get the controller by 8pm. I paid for it at 230pm and it's 845pm and still nothing. Called CS and they hung up on me. Told me to wait til tomorrow. if I wanted NXT day delivery I'd just have saved my money from this company all together and we t thru Amazon !

the gamestop website is pretty shit…

the gamestop website is a pretty shit website to use and i do not recommend using it. its filled with bugs and the address info never gets saved properly. they might mess up your delivery. i recommend not having relations with gamestop at all, since you can get digital games for cheaper nowadays. if you really want physical, go to local video game stores or even walmarts or targets. if not, amazon always has a good selection of games. they tie you into an ecosystem that tricks you into spending way more money than you think you'll spend.

So disappointed

So disappointed! I ordered a switch for my son for Christmas, one of the only things he asked for on Dec 16, I got an email saying it would be delivered in 1-3 days, then when I just the tracker it said Dec 23, then Dec 24. We'll it's the 24th and it now shows It is back to the original address it left from and I won't be receiving it until Dec 29th!!! I've emailed customer support but have had no response. Going through some of the other people's reviews, it seems it is a common issue. Now I am going to have an extremely disappointed little boy Christmas morning. Especially since all of his other presents had to do with the Switch, so he won't be able to use any of his gifts on Christmas Day.

Lack of transparency with refund/replacement

I purchased an item online and it was shipped to the wrong address. I called and requested a replacement, not a refund. The first person I talked to took my name and address and guaranteed a replacement would be sent to the correct address. After several days of no communication or confirmation I called again asking of the status. Again, I had to explain the whole situation and the rep I talked to assured me my replacement would be sent as soon as it was approved(??).Finally, over a week later I get a email denying my replacement. None of the reps I talked to mentioned that this was even a possibility. All lead me to believe they would take care of this mistake. Now, I am out a significant amount of money and no Christmas present for my child.Very disappointed - if I had been told from the very first call there is even a slight possibility the replacement request could be denied, I would have been able to plan. But Gamestop was not forthcoming about this at all.Will NOT buy from them again.

2/3 Ain't bad to you but to me it cost me $90.00 plus tax!

I received my package on 12/2 and 2/ 3 Battle 6 games I paid for were in the box. I reached out to GameStop that day and they said they would investigate this and would get back to me within 3-5 business days. After many attempts by phone and email, this is the response I got from them 15 days later.Hi Anthony,Upon further investigation of your order, your refund/replacement request has been denied. The carrier is claiming delivery to the full address listed on the order. We recommend that you contact the carrier and file a Missing Mail Search. You can begin the process by going here. This will prompt them to check where it was scanned delivered via GPS. If its not scanned at your residence they will issue a letter of mis-delivery.  We also advise contacting neighbors to make sure that the item was not misdelivered by the carrier. If you are unable to file a claim, please visit your local facility and ask them to geolocate your package and issue a letter of mis-delivery that you can forward for a refund or replacement. If you have any questions, you may contact Guest Care at the phone number 800-883-8895.Great job ruining a Christmas gift that I purchased and a relationship for Order # 1100000076250079.You didn't even listen. I receive the package with 2/3 games in it. I have done business with for for a very long time and spent 10s of thousands of dollars at least with your company and you won't see another penny from me or anyone that is in my family.Not Happy but you don't care anyway.I will be sharing this with everyone I can.Shame on you GameStop!Anthony Z

I'm so over GameStop

I'm so over GameStop. I ordered my husband a Switch and some games for Christmas on the 11th and everything was supposed to be here Monday. They shipped one item separately and it got all the way to our post office and they decided to return to sender for some reason. They literally lost the larger package with the Switch inside, found it, and it's supposed to be here today but now that tracking says they're setting up to send it back. I have no idea why. I've called GameStop's customer service three separate days this week and I got the run around about everything until yesterday. I spoke with a supervisor finally who told me they will not refund or exchange until they receive everything back then the refund will take a few business days to process. Christmas is less than a week and I'm out $400. 🥲 I'll never buy from them again. Customer service has been a nightmare and they refused to help me out.
