Avoid this company like the plague. Priceline is way better. These people are totally incompetent and straight up scamming folks. I wish I could leave negative stars.

We booked through a service that might be connected to this company. We had a nice place lined up at a hotel in Puerto Rico but got told we were being moved to something different because of availability. We weren't happy with where they put us instead. We won't use them again. Maybe they should spend less on fancy ads about how great they are and more time making sure reservations actually stick and customers get upgrades, not downgrades.

This app is basically a scam now so watch out. I booked a night at a hotel in Vienna and when I showed up, the front desk told me HotelTonight never sent over the reservation. They were basically doing me a favor by letting me stay since the booking wasn't even in their system. The staff said they'd tried reaching HotelTonight multiple times with no luck. It's a fraud operation. Just avoid it completely.

I couldn't find any way to reach customer service on their website!!! The bad reviews on here start to make sense now! I wanted to send this complaint to support but there was no way to do it, so I'm posting here hoping it helps people. I was really surprised when I checked. Expedia came up way higher in my search results and actually had better prices! Someone over at HotelTonight in their marketing department should probably look into that. I stayed in the Orlando area last weekend and found their rate on Expedia was significantly cheaper when I factored in all the taxes and fees. The hotel itself was fine, no surprises when I arrived or left. Hopefully they'll have more competitive pricing the next time around.

The search function is terrible and they have terrible non-refundable policies. I searched for a place near LAX airport and the app showed me a hotel that was an hour away. The airport shuttles don't even service that area, so I would have wasted all my savings using rideshare to get there. They refused to reimburse me for this error.

Had a terrible experience with HotelTonight and one of their partner properties. I ended up leaving my room at 3 in the morning because of a major bedbug problem that covered me in itchy welts (I have photos). After sitting on hold for almost an hour, they told me I'd get a refund in about 5 to 7 days and threw in a $50 credit that would expire in 3 months. HotelTonight doesn't act like a real hospitality company. Their customer service approach seems intentionally terrible. As of mid-October, that $50 credit never showed up.

Don't book with them. I made a reservation for a Saturday night through Monday morning this past weekend. During checkout, I realized the dates got switched somehow without any notification to me. You should always research the hotel beforehand, look at guest reviews, and ask about fees like the $35 resort charge that hotels add. The app doesn't control what room type you get either. That's up to the hotel. Want a specific room with a view? Book directly with the hotel instead. Pro tip: after booking, call the hotel's front desk to make sure they have your reservation in their system.
