Be careful when shopping here. I bought a down jacket that wasn't marked as final sale, but when I tried to return it because it wasn't what I expected, they refused. Their customer service claimed it was final sale because of the down filling, and said this info was somewhere in their returns page if you dig through it. Yeah, buried in a long list of non-returnable items like swimwear and jewelry, they mention down jackets, plus a bunch of stuff about return costs and customs. If they really wanted you to know an item can't be returned, they should put that right on the product page, not hidden in the fine print. Just watch out.

Their customer service team was fantastic, they got back to me right away, and the person I worked with was super professional and efficient. Easy to talk to. Definitely comfortable ordering from them again.

I should be able to count on basic reliability and honesty from any online retailer, but Italist really let me down. I ordered something on June 28 that showed as available. Two days later my payment went through, but then on July 2 they told me it was actually out of stock. That's a pretty big inventory mistake. Then it got worse: they promised refunds twice (July 3 and July 21) but the money didn't show up until July 28. It took a full month to get my money back, and only after I kept asking and threatened to escalate through Apple Pay. I eventually got my refund, but the whole thing was way too drawn out and frustrating. A company dealing in luxury goods should handle problems faster and better. Based on this mess, I can't recommend shopping here.

Over a month has gone by and still no refund from my return. Back in May, I ordered a brown Ferragamo bag but got sent a light beige one by mistake. I sent the wrong bag back in perfect condition with all tags intact, and DHL confirmed it was delivered to their Milan partner location. Now it's been more than 50 days with zero refund. I've followed every return step correctly, sent multiple follow-up emails, and they've completely ghosted me. I've had to file complaints with the BBB and FTC and dispute the charge with my bank. As a customer, I feel totally abandoned and misled by how they handled this. Their return process is unacceptable and I'm warning everyone to think twice before buying from italist.com.

The brands here are great, but if you need to return something, don't expect them to give you a return label, even if you offer to cover the cost yourself. The brands are amazing but go somewhere else like farfetch, miinto, or my theresa if you want an easy return process. Only order here if you're 100% sure about what you're buying.
